I am helping my sister to purchase her 2nd car. She has a budget of 800k, car plan from the company.

Sa mga nakagamit na nito, which of the two is better in handling and comfort. Yung lakas makina ok lang di naman magagamit dito satin yan hehe

in terms of long time ownership, which of the 2 is reliable? Features na rin?

Out na ang avanza sa choices, may avanza na kami na 1.3 1st gen.

Nagbasa narin ako ng mga review at nanood narin. Pero syempre yung iba bias. hehe 1.4 vs 1.5 engine tingin ko there is no big difference.

We are looking for MT transmission. Out ang AT.

    TIA.

Yes Sir. Currently EON yung kotse nya kaya sanay na sanay sa MT, then ipapamana na nya sa bunso namin yun na babae rin hehe.

And tinanong ko sya, sabi nya manual gusto nya. Lahat naman ng kotse sa bahay manual.

well ertiga is only 1.4L (92 ps and 130 nm of torque) while mobilio uses larger engine, packing an i-VTEC 1.5L ( 120 PS and 145 Nm of torque)

if you're after power, go for honda. powerful yet classy and more sleek!

I don't know if its true but Honda Mobilio production is discontinued na daw in India...

Ertiga ang malakas sa Indonesia and India...

    caveat.
i'd look for an on-road test comparo.
paper figures sometimes do not deliver "as advertised".

IMO, Honda's 1.5 i-VTEC doesn't need introductions. That engine can deliver. We had an 09 Jazz 1.5 and it can ... err, shovel.

Granted that the Mobilio's curb weight is around 5% heavier than the the Ertiga, the Mobilio still has enough grunt from the engine to come out with better power-to-weight ratio.

But to me, that's about the only thing good with the Mobilio. The design language never worked for me. For lack of a better phrase, I find the styling "too busy". The RS is even worse... borderline pretentious. For that, I prefer the Ertiga.

If only they came out with a Diesel variant here... I'd be all over it.
