Handling ... these cars are not meant to excel in corners ... FWD are actually safer for not so experienced drivers compare to RWD ...

130hp? The Rush is only rated 104hp/136Nm.

Seriously, do you expect an MPV with a small output engine to do some dazzling performance on the road? Look somewhere else if performance is a key consideration in a vehicle.

Nope i did not say race your heart out in an MPV. I mean in some situation where traction is limited like heavy rains. Even if a car only has 60 or even 40HP, if your aquaplaning RWD is harder to control due the tendency of the rear sliding.

Just saw one Toyota Rush yesterday. I liked the style of it more than the Xpander. The Rush (for me) is more of a SUV.

    Hello guys,

Being a potential first time car owner, please enlighten me on how reliable and critical this NPAC safety test is as I am torn between Rush and Xpander.

    Xpander rating VS Rush rating

    Adult occupant: 39.08 vs 43.25
    Child Occupant: 18.69 vs 21.33
    Safety Assist: 13.89 vs 19.44

Xpander 4 star only while Rush is 5 star.

    Is this a deal breaker?

    Thanks for the info!

    Not totally deal breaker.
Some cars here have a 0 or 1 star rating for all we know.

It just gives you peace of mind knowing your car will do its best to protect you from an accident.

However, if you are in a headon collission with a truck or rammed by it. No 5 star rating will save you.

Heck, even airbags dont deploy on some scenario.

No offense to anyone here but, wow. I understand the “Xpander VS Rush safety ratings” not being a deal breaker. But some cars being rated 0 or 1 star and it’s not a deal breaker? For the lack of a better word, that’s just plain ignorance.

He is referring to rush vs xpander. 5vs 4.

Im just saying out loud that some cars here have 0 or 1 car rating and it is being sold and being bought by customers. That's it. Never said that safety should be deprioritized.
