Which is the better reconditioned truck? Most people suggest the Elf because of parts availability but those who use the Canter say it is more reliable.

    canter, mas maganda riding comfort.
elf, truckers find it very durable pero medyo matagtag.

    kami may 1 canter na dump(4d32) and 2 elfs(4ba1, 4bc2)
reliability, they're at par...pero ang elfs namin ay ung pre-auction era, means, ung chop-chop at binubuo pa...and ung canter from auction, CBU...

I prefer Isuzu elf.

meron kami canter and mga elf, comparing same model years and puro subic, hindi nagkakalayo ang performance and fuel consumption. although mahirap to compare since puro 2nd hand kaya hindi malalaman kung gaano ang pag alaga ng previous owners. sa price ng parts merong mas mura ang canter at vice-versa. for example, mas mura ang differential ng canter 4d32 kaysa elf 4be1 (P15t single tire), mas lalo na 4hf1 (P28T to P30T). Although mas malaki (4.3liter) yung 4hf1 kaysa 4d32 (3.5liter) pareho lang ang hatak at capacity (as far as our trucks are concerned).

yung canter 4d32 6.5 to 7.3km/liter (mm w/ ilocos trip) but usually sagad ang karga. yung 4be1 5.5 to 7.3km/kiter (mmw/ ilocos trip), sagad din ang karga.
