The car was co-developed by Subaru and Toyota. Both company are selling a version of the final product. It is also being manufactured at the same plant in Japan (Subaru Gunma plant).
Visually, BRZ uses a slightly different front bumper design to the Toyota 86 or Scion FR-S.
jointly developed by Toyota and Subaru
sold as Toyota 86, Toyota GT86 (Europe), Subaru BRZ, Scion FR-S (North America)
Ok so whats the better buy if you are in pinas?
Brz or ft86...same tech, slightly diffferent look, different brand, and different price..
If i have the money ill get the BRZ... kasi dami ngayon nagkalat na abusadong sales person sa mga toyota dealers that wont get you a unit unless you get accessories and their HIGH interest Financing... kahi sa sulit nagkalat at lantaran na nakalagay na kelangan financing.
Personally, best to get the 86/BRZ/FRS in MT. If you're going for the MT, then go for the Toyota, since it's much, much cheaper. Don't let the sales agent talk you into the stiffer TRD suspension, the useless body kits or any other eche-che-bureche. Just get the basic car, it's sweeter to drive without heavy wheels or an ungodly stiff suspension.
If you're getting it in auto, either variant will do.There are supposed to be slight differences in suspension tuning, but I doubt you'll really notice them.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
So thats it for more or less 400k badge and slight difference in the interior lang ang difference?
Brand equity also plays a roll as well.
When you say Subaru you think STI, WRX & Forester. But with Toyota you think Camry, Rav4 & Prado.
