Carens CRDi. Best ride, great economy, possibly best diesel technology out there now. Downsides: smaller than the other two (elbow room similar, but trunk space tiny), unknown durability of underchassis, so-so transmissions.
But if we're talking practicality, the 2.5 D4D Innova is still the leader, as long as you don't go all out on the top-of-the-line model. It accelerates decently, drives well, and has a tough ladder frame. Only downside is the lack of power (compared to other CRDis, not to other AUVs) and questionable durability of the suspension (matagtag, but not as bad as other AUVs), but it's still a great buy. It's one of the few current Toyotas that I actually respect and recommend buying.
The Fuzion has a great ride (better than the Innova) and good space, but that big, ancient gasoline engine isn't really the best for fuel economy. If you're going to spend that much money on a vehicle, better to get a van.
If you're going over 1m, you really should consider the Starex. I don't really like the suspension (too soft...), but that's a matter of taste. It gives the best space and comfort for your money. (The Hiace Grandia is just a bit too expensive and the seats are kinda poor).

Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
fuzion maganda talaga kaso feeling ko malaks sya sa gas. sa 3 po carens crdi pipiliin ko.
oo nga... Yung Fuzion should have a diesel, kahit yung 4D56/4D56T/4D56 TDiC okay na rin yun...

I personally drive a Carens but I've driven the Innova used by my folks and other relatives plus input on its performance, I like the car-ride feel of the CRDi engine over the D4D engine of the Innova but the latter indeed has more room but the third row of the Carens seems to accommodate adults better plus the tumble down configuration is better and more neat-looking.
I guess it boils down to dependability, toyota has a clear advantage, ask me in three years about the performance of the carens.
owned a lancer MX and outlander before, i was disappointed in terms of performance and service quality and had to let go of these vehicles in such a short time but since i have no experience yet as to the fuzion/zinger's ride much less driven it,no comment muna ako.
the 1st gen outlander was clearly inferior to the crv..especially the rav4

I drive a Kia Carens too .. Gasoline .. my carens does close to 9km/lt .. mostly City driving ..
Carens is the better among the three. It has better
1. Riding comfort. Most carlike, better seating ergonomics and space including 3rd row. Carens does not have a truck platform unlike Innova and Fuzion.
2. Acceleration. The CRDI and gas option has among the highest torque and horsepower. yes, the initial acceleration may not be as fast as cars but it is a LOT (take note I say a LOT) faster than Innova or Fuzion. Have you tried stepping on the gas pedal of Fusion from a halt.. todo sa sahig! .. mas mabilis ba yung picanto!
3. Safety. Lower center of gravity, ABS and airbags. US and Euro certified car safety. Both Innova and Fuzion cannot claim the same. Nakakatakot i-drive sa curves ang Innova at speeds of more than 100km/hr or more .. try driving the Innova, Fuzion and Carens along the curves of Nueva Viscaya, Infanta Quezon or Baguio to see the difference.
4. Fuel economy. Compared to Innova and Fuzion, Carens is the most economical in terms of km/lt. Fuel economy suffers for Fuzion and Innova because of car weight and outdated + inefficient engine (for fusion).
5. Least expensive (if you compare based on car features)
The biggest let down for Carens it is brand name. But Kia and its parent firm Hyundai has gone leeps and bounds in terms of Safety and Reliability in the past 5 years. Surprisingly, the 2007 Kia Carens has a higher rating from JD Power than Toyota RAV4 and Mitsubishi Outlander.
As for its modest design .. but that's the point of the Carens. It is designed more as a family car, a people mover .. for those with limited budget. Aanhin mo ang super pogi na kotse pero nauunahan ka nang "plain joe" cars like a Carens. Di ba nakakainis! Buti na lang di uso sa Pinas yung tinatapunan ka nang posporo!
