saan aabot 75k mo? well, the choices are Mazda 323 (yung mga 1993 - 94 model) fuel efficient na rin for me, toyota corolla GL (small body) ok to, sure ka na bihira/wala talagang ex-taxi na ganito(not sure but they said). Mitsubishi Lancer SL a.k.a the box type, old school but rocks kapag na-pormahan, (can be also use as a drift toy).
another are an Ex-Taxi Toyota corolla' for sure for the price of 60k meron na, pero kailangan kailangan maging mabusisi ka kung kukuha ka ng ex-taxi na unit.

August 9th, 2011 10:29 AM #15Sir Kulaneh,
The mentioned galant by the sulit.com seller has a 4G63 SOHC engine. I know carbureted pa ito kaya though 8 valves lang sya e hindi sya ganon katipiran. I also have a galant with a 4G63 SOHC carbureted engine with manual transmission, actual consumption sa city driving mga 6 to 7 km/li lang sya, on the hiway mas matipid mga 9 to 10 km/li. Considering the consumption, all I can is that the galant is still worth it, "sulit pa din ika nga". If you'd ask me why? I usually travel on the hiway kaya I can really feel the comfort and confidence on the road as compared to a lower displacement and smaller car, mas stable and comportable sya sa hiway, parang lumulutang lang kahit 100 kph.
But considering your needs, kung practice driving lang (then going abroad), I say get a smaller and economical car, kahit luma basta hindi ka titrik.
Suggestions: Kia Pride, Charade, Lancer Boxtype, Lancer singkit, Corolla xl small body, Nissan sentra boxtype.

August 14th, 2011 03:07 PM #19daihatsu charade / kia pride ka na lang tutal ikaw narin naman nagsabi na in a few months/days eh aalis ka rin, umabot ka man ng pasko this year sa pinas or not. pagdating mo naman sa japan madami dun kei cars (small cars) sa roads nila so di ka maninibago.
di natin masasabing sasakyan mo na lang yung bibilihin mo kasi di natin alam ano nangyari sa pinag nanasaan mong mga bilihin na kotse. pero for a small car, makakahanap ka rin ng mura atsaka magagamit mo yung natipid mong pera for replacement parts.
kaya ko suggest mga kei cars dahil sa tingin ko mas marami kang makikitang murang ganito kesa sa mga corolla kahit equally lahat silang abused. i'm no expert though pero that is from what i can observe.

Yup, go for smaller cars, specifically hatchbacks. Kasi marami sa Japan mga hatchbacks or in their case, Kei Cars. Hinding hindi ka maninibago if ever.
nice! hoping the price will be
