    mx5

    Pros:
    handles well
    looks good
    steering is really sharp
    easier to drive
great out of the box track car

    Cons:
    2 seats only
    very low ground clearance

    wrx

    Pros:
    sedan
    5 seats
    powerful
    more practical for daily driving
    handles well
    awd
    top notch safety

    cons:
    gas consumption
interior is bare compared to it's cvt version
handles well but nothing compared to the mx5

if it's a weekend/track car i'd get the mx5, but if it's an all around car then getting the wrx is a no brainer. both are very reliable naman for a sports car.

Given the choice I will go with the Subaru Impreza WRX VABseries m/t
    pros:
    5 seats
    Closes thing to an sti
    Pwede pang family/daily drive/meetings
    2.0 boxer engine
    AWD
    cons
Not as fun to drive as the mx-5

    Pro
    For show
    track car
    sunday car/toy car
    project
I think it's targeting the buyers of the 86 and genesis coupe
    Cons
    2seater
Not practical for family men(if you are one)
    smaller boot space

MX-5 for me and my girl... Mine & mine alone...

I still have another car for more utilitarian purposes.

Plus I still retain 130k in cash to budget for those extravagant road trips in the Miata.

    thanks for the inputs guys.

really having a hard time deciding between these 2 cars.

my take - first choice is MX5 but because it is not easy to shell out 1.7M (2 to 3 years of hardwork ko din ito haha), im thinking to put a little practicality in it, so now im inching to increase the budget and get the WRX MT instead.

    a little background about me
    - single
    - 30 YO
    - our family have 2 SUVs and a compact car
    - REALLY WANTED A TOY CAR!

50/50 talaga utak ko ngayon pero puso ko 100% MX5 hahaha!

Mazda MX-5. It's the world's best selling roadster.

For now. Wait for about three years and the suspension is shot

Is it that fragile? There are 20 year old Miatas around and are still rolling fine

At least add something that supports your argument instead of just blurting out accusations

The MX5 has a very light chassis, highly doubt the suspension would be an issue, and if it is it's easy to change anyway

Gomenasai. I am not accusing, I had Mazda and I have seen mazdas in my area comparing to other cars.

I worked as a technician and still work on different makes and models with over thirty years if you might ask

Personally, I will go for the roadster because I am after driving pleasure over speed.

But if you don't have a garage, I'd probably settle for the subie saloon. Less likely to get vandalized by envious haters.

the mx5 is arguably the most reliable sports car ever made. just because your mazda had problems doesn't mean all of their cars will have the same problem.
