    Tsikot Peeps,

I'd appreciate your inputs in comparing these 2 units. I'm currently in the market for a new ride. Usage for 4-5 family members and mostly city driving. I've seen the 2 units in the dealership and have seen their specs a million times but I'm really having a hard time deciding. Please also comment on their after sales service (Mazda vs Hyundai).

    CX7
    Price : 1.495
    2.5 Gasoline
    5 Seater

    Tucson
    Price : 1.458
    2.4 Gasoline
    5 Seater

    Thanks in advance guys!

Yep. Mahirap talaga pumili sa dalawa. Both are new and both are good looking.

Para saakin, una ang CX7 then the tucson comes next to it.

    i would go with the

    2010 Tucson
    2.4 Gasoline
    5 Seater
    4WD

because it is the newest and most probably the value for money between the two. but if you want rarity, then go with the CX-7.

    Hi!
'Need help to decide on which mid-size SUV to choose: Tucson GLS Gas or CX7. I have the option to bring home the CX7 today but i decided to defer my decision until tuesday. I love the CX7 interior and loaded functions but i kind a like the Tucson' exterior.

Tucson GLS Silky Bronze - it is a fact, no available units yet. Nakapila ako both Alabang and Dasma. SA told me na baka August na daw maging normal ang supply from Korea. I can't wait because of the excitement though i don't need it soon.

CX7 White - i can immediately get a unit from Mazda Makati. It is actually allocated and prepared* to somebody else but (i think) supposed owner had some issues. (*casa already installed Tint and back-up sensor). I actually don't want the tint being used by casa as it is only Taiwan/ China 3M tint but they can give the full front tint free-of-charge. The back-up sensor is black and made the rear bumper a bit messy (i prefer a very-clean look bumper). Casa will charge me P4,500 only for the back-up sensor though they said price is actually more than 5K. The reason i had a second thought and not immediately grab the unit is that i want an absolutely brand new unit (never touched, never given any mods, as in never been pdi'd). The showroom GM even assured though, that the unit has never been displayed.

    TIA for all the inputs!

Happy long weekend & please vote wisely!

if i was in your place i'd go with the cx7, i think the cx7 looks better and performance wise the cx7 is also better. also konti pa lang ang naka cx7, unlike tucson na kahit san ka pumunta may makakasalubong ka. i like cars na konti pa lang ang meron, that's why i bought a subaru.

if you really need a car now then get the cx7, sobra dami ng naka pila sa tucson. if you really like the tucson and you can wait a month or more, then wait for it.

For months now i've had my eyes set on the new Tucson, but that changed when I saw the CX7 on the road. I like both style-wise - the Tucson with its modern feel and the CX7s classy and ***y look. Performance-wise though, I have no idea.

I would've added the Forester but since my dad's funding it (grad present) he's got a few opinions of his own. He doesn't like the Forester and the Sorento. My sister drives a CRV so that's out of the question. Am currently driving dad's Fortuner.

Will be using it mainly for city driving.

as much as i love the cx7, i'd go for the tucson right now. performance depends on what variant of tucson you'll get, if it's the crdi then the tucson will be faster. handling not sure since i haven't been able to drive the crdi variant yet, but against the cvvt gas versions the cx7 has a better handling. features tucson hands down, for me looks lang ang panalo ng cx7 but that's just for me, others might like the tucson's look better. cargo space are almost the same on both cars. yon nga lang good luck on trying to get a tucson, tagal mo pa mag aantay.

but out of your 4 choices, syempre sa forester na ko. not just because i have one but because it is the most fun car and has the best performance in it's class. downside is plain interior, bad fc and only one casa.

The CX7 is a nice car... better handling, grunty engine... and fuel economy is about right for a 2.5 liter car (similar or better than the 2.4 CR-V)... but the Tucson is, hands-down, a better package. More rear seat room. Diesels available. Tons of toys on the Premium variant.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Not all Mazda cars are gas guzzlers. Your experience with your mazda is not a basis for saying that all Mazda cars are malakas sa gas just because your mazda is malakas sa gas.

Different models have different engines, transmissions, weight, gearing, aerodynamics, etc. which are factors in fuel consumption

okay if you say so, then can you name a mazda car w/c are locally available who's not gas guzzler compare to its direct competitor?
simply put it this way, mazda are not built for FE, they are built for
    fun to drive.

i don't hate mazda ha? we own two mazda and a ford (ford owns mazda tama ba? or atleast meron silang percentage ownership)
