medyo limited ang options mo for locally available sports cars. your best bet would be to shop around the gray market dealerships.

Nope. almost 4m yung Z4. Boxster is around 5-6m.

The Eclipse Spyder may be faster than the Hyundai, but it definitely isn't as sporty to drive... the last gen Spyder was something of a boat.

For fun-to-drive (not necessarily sportscars) cars under 2m, you've got the Focus 2.0, the Mazda3 2.0, the Accord 3.0 V6 (the fastest car you can buy under 2m) and the Mazda6 2.3.

They used to sell the Smart Roadster here for around 1.6 million. That was a 2 door mid-engined go-kart-nimble hard-top with an 800cc mid-mounted turbo engine. Not much faster than a 1.6 sedan, but definitely fun to drive, and good looking. Mercedes quality and interior were a bonus, too. Too bad it's been discontinued, though you could probably ask if they still have one or two at CATS.

You could alternatively try Westfield (don't know if their dealership is still open here... you can try). They'll build you a Lotus 7 replica for around 1.5 million (700k was their asking price before, for the body only). That's a Hayabusa powered tube-frame sportscar with AC and a radio that'll beat any car on the road in terms of performance. Barely useable for commuting, though.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

not really a sports car but the Ford Focus 2.0L with the optional sports trimming is fun to drive. It would cost just around P1.2M (with the factory sports options).

Personally the Focus 2.0L lacks a LSD or some sort of traction control or even just better tires because I could spin the tires even in dry/ideal road conditions.

the Toyota Camry 3.0L is a luxury sedan with some serious power under the hood. But with its weight, it would drive a bit like a boat.

for a budget of P2M, I'd start looking at pre-owned / 2nd hand units of:

    Boxster, SLK, Z3, TT
