guys im having trouble deciding whether i should sell my pajero to get a 97-00 model A4. i just got the pajero this year, it was pretty old and broken but i restored it and set it up ngayon ok naman sya but im really tempted to get the a4. also, my pajero is a 92 model intercooler body so i was thinking of getting the audi because i always liked that car and of course its newer. if i sell my paj ill have under 100k extra to fix it up or replace some parts. do ko lang alam kung owrth it talaga sya in the long run. grabe daw kasi presyo ng mga parts sa casa. meron bang murang mabibilhan ng parts na significantly cheaper than casa? what do u guys think, should i keep the pajero or get the audi? thanks!

    A4 of course is nicer.

There are shops that cater to german cars too. I've read Autovec, Hahn etc.

Get the A4! Lotsa Pajeros around na. This one I like...simple lang

Is this the one they used in the Robert de Niro movie "Ronin"?

thanks guys! glad to hear that there are other options aside from the casa. i want the 98 mas bago na yung sa picture hehehe! pero maganda pa rin kahit ano sa kanila. what about with gas mileage?

If you can afford it and you have another "daily driver" then the A4 should be fine... but if you have limited resources and you drive around a lot using only one car then the Pajero should be the keeper.

hmmmm.... im still really confused on what to do. the pajero is okay naman kasi i got it for beach trips and other stuff kaso because its so old, hindi talaga ako kompyansa with it kasi natatakot ako na it could break down anytime on a trip. on another forum, the guys there told me na ok naman yung audi and may ibang source naman ng parts aside from the casa, and also that it's reliable naman meaning di naman palagi nasisira yung parts so right now im leaning towards the a4 pero unsure pa rin talaga. please let me know if u guys have other insights about it!

ako nga 1989 nissan maxima at subic 1991 liteace, restored and reliable...

eto nalang natutunan ko to when i traded my former delica:

sa yo, if you're willing to gamble on an another used car go ahead...nga pala, P41-47/L pesos na ang gasolina.. P36-37/L naman ang diesel.. kung pareho naman sa consumo yung 2, ikaw nasasa yo na ang pasya...

A4 for me, personally. pero you will be the owner so you'd better weigh everything lalo na when it comes to maintenance, FC and other factors. If you can feed the beast, own it!

haha thanks for the support guys! i guess time will tell kung anong gagawin ko. for now yung move ko is to put my pajero up for sale then if i dont get to sell it for the price i want then so be it. in the meantime ill just save up for the price of the audi then whichever comes first nalang. sa totoo lang if i didnt have to sell my pajero i wouldnt kaso there are jsut some stuff about it that tick me off and when i saw the prices of audis these days it really got me thinking whether to change it or not.

i would keep the paj because:

    a. its more flexible. daming binabahang areas dito sa metro manila.
    b. it's already restored to your desired running condition.
    c. parts can be easily sourced.
    d. its more fuel efficient.
    e. it holds more cargo.

pag ginive up mo yan, i am sure, gagastos ka ulit sa audi. may prestige nga in driving, pero think about your maintenance costs and fuel costs.

great point bro. the thought of fuel costs definitely crossed my mind. if i do get to save up some money before my pajero gets sold ill try to get the audi but keep the pajero pa rin.

id go with the pajero thats already in top shape. the audi would defintely need maintenance and some parts to fix or might be next to fix. and the parts of the audi is $$$. no generic replacements parts there.

and the 4x4 + diesel is practical than the audi. cheaper fuel. can run offroad. can carry loads. or pull trailers.

we have a 96 audi a4 1.8 before..ride is firm (maybe because its supposed to be a sporty sedan) consumption is 5-6km/l..swerte ka na sa 7km/l..its high rev happy..i would keep the paj unless you're prepared to spend.. basically that explains the low resale of this model

kung daily driver, pajero na lang. the a4 is nice, i drive a euro sedan myself but not everyday. i still use our '99 pajero field master more. also, kawawa ang mga euro sedan pag rainy/flood season na. a jap sedan costs a lot pag nagkaroon ng damage due to floods, i'm not willing to find out how much i'd spend on a euro sedan.

Get a 98' Audi A4 or Keep My Subic Pajero?
