    Yup, tama naman sir GH.

It's faaaaar from exact science, but I don't think it's completely abstract either.

Example: Between the Sentra 200 and the Lancer EX 2.0 / Corolla Altis 2.0 / Civic FD 2.0, I have a strong gut feeling I know which car will be ranked at the bottom of the resale pack in 5-10 years.

Even taking the Sentra 200, the resale price depreciation is standard based on the original retail value of each car. So unless a certain car has proven to be a major lemon for some reason, we shouldn't see any major drop in re-sale values over the years of ownership, hence knowing which car has the "best" resale value isn't that important when buying a new car.
