Thanks for the really comprehensive explanation! It really helped. Medyo katakotakot yung FC ng Lancer so I'm kinda more inclined to the Vios nowadays. We don't really care if it's a taxi car or something, in fact it's some sort of bonus kasi at least tried and tested ang reliability niya.

Anyway, another concern is that baka hindi kaya ng Vios yung mga medyo matitinding paakyat, and long drives. Although it will be primarily used for city driving, ito na rin ang gagamitin namin for rare weekend outings to places like Pansol and all that. I guess kaya pa naman. Pero baka iuwi rin kasi namin to Bicol yung sasakyan. Kaya kaya ng Vios yung ganun katinding biyahe? Kahit sino po pwede sumagot. Thanks!

Good day. Yun Vios kayang makarating sa destination na sinabi mo kasi yun friend ko Vios gamit niya. Kaya lang pag 5 ang naka sakay, masikip yun loob, yun ang dina daing sa akin ng friend ko, di tulad ng Lancer maluwag. FC ng Lancer sa city talagang malakas compared to the Vios. Makakarating yan kotse mo. Sa matinding akyatan, tip ko parati ka naka bwelo sa akyatan. I don't care rin na Vios is a taxi car, even the GLX Cedia Lancer is a taxi car also (rarely).

My dad and I used to argue about what to get, he wanted a GLS CVT Lancer while I on the other hand suggested to get the Vios thinking it was more economical to use and maintain over that of a Lancer. In the end, he got what he wanted. We opted out for the Lancer because it looks cooler than the Vios, parts are also abundant and not everybody gets to drive one. Not to mention, aside from all the extras the SA offered us, we also got a 55t price cut (745t slashed down to 690t).

The top of the line unit of the Vios (S variant) is a lot more expensive than the GLS, so we decided, heck, Lancer it is. :D Apparently, the only issue we can think of at this moment is the FC which falls in the 7.5~9city, 11~12Hway and +-9kpl mix.

If you're bothered by the FC, and want to save up on gas get a vios instead. For everything else, get the GLX or better yet a GLS. :D
