Hi. Im planning to buy a car. First time hehe 300k budget and im looking at these options honda city 04-08, vios 04-06, Mazda 3 04-06, kia rio 2010ex...

Im looking for a good fuel economy

Can leave me extra money for my budget, good fc, mura parts at d mahirap paayos and "toyota yan eh" pero mejo mtaas mileage

    Other recommendation are welcome

24y.o guy here 5'10, decent job lang
Would love to do long drive and pasyal pasyal sa city by night

to add things up din re: mazda 3, i can use its porma para sa work ko which is leasing and sales... syempre additional points din kapag maganda ang auto dahil parang it tells the clients na this guy looks successful sa work nya which means marami na syang closed deals... and regarding fc... i can always use the sunroof naman para d na mag a/c to lessen the gas consumption hehe... please help guys

i think it wont be an issue since hindi naman ako pamilyado so most of the times harap lang na upuan magagamit, unless if my work requires me to have clients on the back seat. hehe kita ko nga pag long drive si mazda umaabot naman ng 13km/l ang fc nya eh, not bad naman for the known issue of fc, and im planning to take a unit with sunroof para i can boost that up to 14-16km/l highway without ac hehe possible naman ata yun

How about a ZZ Altis or Civic ES? 300k will get you a 2003-2005 Civic VTi-S (facelifted ES, eagle eye) or a ZZ Altis 1.6 (E/G). Good fuel economy, decent space, easy access to parts, reliable, etc.

Kung Mazda3 man, i'd go for the 2.0L model or the 2.0L Civic ES since di naman nagkalayo FC nun sa 1.6L Mazda3 but you get a bigger engine with better car features over the 1.6L Mazda3.

actually sir i cant consider ung lpg convert kasi pag nag long drive ako, hirap mkahanap ng pakargahan ng lpg sa province, and convertion cost is how much? sabihin natin 30-50k ung talagang maganda pagconvert, that is already 700-1000 liters of gas :D but it can be suitable still if i will use it for long period of time. and staying here in NCR.

yes sir top of the line ang balak ko kunin, i have read some forums 2.0 has better fc than 1.6 because of the power to weight ratio... also sa Mazda3 kasi medyo hindi halata kung 2004 model sila until the recent models haha...

id spare myself the headache and only consider toyota and honda. both are known for their reliability.
if you can stretch your budget a bit more, imo, for your age and job, the best would be a civic FD.
but if you cant, id choose among these: vios, city, altis, civic ES

I'd stay away from the City or Jazz if the seller cannot give you a good maintenance history. Dami na horror stories related to damaged CVT of City/Jazz. The Vios of that age is a bit cramped. Getting a good condition Civic FD around 350k will be great but you still need some funds for repairs if needed. A car worth 250k-270k plus 30k-50k for mods/repairs will be a good choice.

Want other options aside from a Civic ES or ZZ Altis? The Nissan Sentra N16 is another alternative. You can get a younger car (2005-2007 model) over a similarly-priced used Honda or Toyota. Fuel consumption will be a bit higher than an Altis or Civic ES but it's a comfortable daily car.
