Hi, I would like to ask sana kung ano mas prefer niyo dito sa dalawa. I am after
-Space (We are more of a people-loader type)
-Reliability
-Fuel Consumption
-Resale Value
I torn between this two kasi we used to own a fuego before, and yung family namin is Isuzu-Blooded kaya napunta sa sportivo. And sa starex naman, we have one pero we are thinking of selling it na kasi sakit na sobra sa maintenance and pang-fuel. Pero our starex never failed us sa 11 years niya kaya gusto ko yung starex.
By the way, pang color-coding, sunday and out-of-town car lang ito.
Thanks tsikot!

Biased ako since Isuzu blooded din kami
indestructible engine nila and fuel efficient pa.
IMHO mas maganda rin porma ng Sportivo.

-Space (We are more of a people-loader type) - Hyundai Grand Starex
-Reliability - A bit equal. The Crosswind is just cheaper to maintain.
-Fuel Consumption - Crosswind, i guess ?
-Resale Value - As of now, pareho lang.

Much more powerful engine especially the VGT.
Problema lang sa Sportivo, it doesn't have a single airbag, and it has no ABS so medyo alanganin sa safety. (CMIIW)

*renzo_d10-oo nga eh, pero i think kaya naging ganon is because medyo priority nila yung reliability ng crosswind/sportivo.
*Chikselog-oo nga no! wala pala airbag yung sportivo. pero tama ka sa starex kasi i once thought of toyota hiace na grandia pero bigla ko naisip yung placement ng engine. thanks btw!

Kinda pointless. Pag nabangga ka, as if that engine reliability would save you from death as compared to the airbags that could save you even a little bit.
uh, btw, the crosswind badly needs a new model.
since 2002 ( cmiiw ) puro facelift nalang. 2010 na ngayon, for god's sake.

October 14th, 2010 09:50 PM #8Yes, the basic body came from way back in 2001 when the Crosswind XTO was introduced, and the chassis and interior came from the Hilander which was introduced in 1997 so... how old is it? I was wondering, they really could have put airbags in the Crosswind. The dashboard of the Crosswind is used in a slew of other cars as well including the early '90s Wizard, which has airbags with the passenger airbag located at the big cavity in front of the passenger seat. As for comparing it with the Grand Starex, its like comparing apples to oranges. The Grand Starex is a decidedly more upscale and luxurious kind of transport, not to mention having more than twice the power AND torque figures of the Crosswind. I'd definitely pick the Grand Starex over the Crosswind, even if its just the base TCI variant.

Ang Sportivo yata is a dressed-up Crosswind eh. I dunno pero I read somewhere na puro aesthetic upgrades lang ang Sportivo compared to Crosswind except maybe for the headrest LCD and back-up camera with LCD screen.

October 14th, 2010 10:04 PM #10-Space (We are more of a people-loader type) - Kung puro tao naman po, grand starex na lang, mas comofortable yun di ba?
-Fuel Consumption - Sportivo
-Resale Value - Both.
For me, kahit pa puro isuzu sasakyan namin, starex na lang kung hindi niyo masyado priority yung fuel consumption.
considering a Ferrari has an average price range of 20-25M. multiply that with 666 units sold then...
