    Hello po!
I'm planning in buying a new car... with all the said reviews, it's really confusing on what to pick. I'm deciding between 3 cars, Honda Jazz1.5V vs Honda City 20091.5E vs Suzuki Swift L VVT.
It's going to be my first car and I'm excited and scared at the same time. I'm considering the speed, the looks (alin mas madaling i-dress up) and my money value in the long run. I really, really hope that you can help me. Thank you very much and Have a great day!

Honda City 2009 1.5. Good space and bigger baggage compartment.

Unless you don't need the space and can do with a Jazz or Swift.

    Good luck.

given the three choices, i would narrow it down to two; the City and Jazz due to resale value and updated-ness. The Swift has low resale value, fewer upgrade options and is really dated, compared to the other two.

if i were you, i'd go for the Jazz. it's cuter than the City, even if it's a a few months older in style. For me, once the City units mushroom in the manila streets, it will become just one of the cars out there, as for the Jazz, it will remain different from the sedan masses. FC is almost the same, so it really depends on how important the trunk space is for you.

I would suggest free-up a weekend and do solid test driving of these two cars and assess which you can picture yourself driving for the next 5 years. It's all in the feel. ;)

    Cheers!

I'll go for the City too. I like the Jazz, but I like City more. Next option would be Jazz vs. Swift, I'll go for the looks of the Swift over the Jazz.

If you don't have other cars, I'd go for the city. more room and can accommodate more persons compared to the other two.

If your the sporty type of guy who have other cars, I'd go for the swift...

ei there. i used to be a sales executive of suzuki auto makati turned car broker. they are right. what you want should always depend on what you need but of course lets not disregard that majority of car buyers are driven to choose 80% based on pride and the remaining logically. i guess thats where you could consider wc one to purchase. personally ill choose the swift, not just because i used to work for the brand but because i know the car inside and out. main reasons? quality, aesthetics and performance. quality coz its a c.b.u. japan. aesthetics/beauty coz the swift can become classy and sporty at the same time (unlike with the jazz that is just sporty, some say futuristic). performace.... well still its a c.b.u. japan. fun to drive sobra. plus.... do consider... karamihan ng mga bumili ng swift... or even any suzuki model.... for keeps mga sasakyan nila. they dont just sell them away kahit may mga lumabas na bagong interesting models ibang brand. so true din when u browse classifieds napakakonti nagbebenta ng used suzuki swift. so just try to consider those things. though ang jazz maganda naman talaga sya but i dont think the design will really last. with respect to the city 09. whoa! hands down ako the first time i saw it. but when i saw the plastics and the fabric... medyo nadisappoint ako. though its very sporty and the features are great. plus ang sa wakas... nagbago din ang dating ng city. anyways... nasa inyo pa rin po un. but when it comes to deals that part im sure ill really be able to help you out. ive agents sa lahat brand and all dealerships. they will all bid for you thru me. ill also handle your financing deals for the lowest rate if you are going for financing po.best deals always. feel free to inquire FOR FREE. autobroker360 -- 0923-979-8596. hope youll get the best car that suits you with the best deals.

I'd rank them in this order:

    1. Jazz
    2. City
    3. Swift

If I were in the market for a second car, I'd choose the Swift hands down, because I already have a larger family vehicle and I would like a toy car for a change. But in your case, this will be your first car, so you might appreciate something that's a little more well-rounded in terms of compact size, functional interior space and performance.

The great thing though about the Swift (or any Suzuki car for that matter) is the free maintenance parts and labor you get for the first two years -- all you'll be spending for is fuel. This frees up your budget for other items you might want to pursue, such as exterior or performance modifications; imagine a Swift M/T equipped with a drop-in turbocharger from Speedlab. Yeah, baby!

Eh baka naman kasi hindi ganun kadami yung mga bumili ng Swift in the first place, kaya wala masyadong nagbebenta. Pero dumadami na yung mga nakikita kong Swift M/T variants sa kalsada.

There are some cars that look really good in a specific color. In the case of the Swift it looks great in white or abalone white (slightly dirty white) or gray white. In other colors medyo hindi bagay.

di naman po sa tinitira ko suzuki sir pero as what i heard from JD something survery (kamakailan lang) when jaguar and buick dethrone lexus from the #1 spot on the quality issue yata yun (lexus's now on 2nd), suzuki was on the bottom of the list with its cars having many problems base from the surveys of it after 5 years or 3 yrs yata yun of ownership..

pero kung ganito ang offer aba a should-consider talaga dapat ang swift na yan hahaha
also pag swift, i always remember kim chiu driving her white swift sa my girl dati
kaso sobrang liit ng cargo sa likod unlike sa iba mong choices.. 5 will have a hard time sa loob for sure pag matagal na biyahe. legroom i have no idea
ang swift kung mapagsawaan mo na, meron inoofer atoy na mods to make it look like a minicooper
kinagandahan din ng swift eh muka siyang mini 350Z

sa listahan mo naman, siguro di ko muna isasama city temporarily sa choices

according sa C! magazine (April 2009 issue), comparison of jazz, aveo, yaris, and swift. the jazz dominate than the others because not just being the newest to the subcompact category, passenger/cargo space, it is because when it come to preventvie maintenance it is much cheaper by +50000 Php than other competitors.

    i've the jazz 1.5 though.

OT:kung hindi ka nagmamadali sa pagbili ng auto.. intay ka pa ng iba. AFAIK Mazda will release their Mazda 2 daw this coming October or later this year.

Yeah, just bought that issue. It's a good way to put rest those claims that Hondas are expensive to maintain... which is rubbish, given people are comparing the price of OEM parts to third-party taxi replacements... for cars that aren't being sold anymore...

We have a new Honda CR-V... and the 10,000 kilometer service interval is a god-send.

We do so many kilometers a year, it's not funny... On most of our vehicles, we need to do an oil change every month.

The fact that we only have to send in the CR-V every second or third month, instead, and the fact that we lose only six or seven days to servicing compared to two weeks for other vehicles, means quite a lot for our heavy-usage family.

The Jazz is just so much better than anything else in the segment, it's not funny... the Swift might come close in terms of fun, and the Yaris might come a little close in terms of passenger space, but for overall space, the impressive cargo capacity, refinement and features, nothing comes close to the Jazz.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
