Go for it, doc! My wife and I were thinking that we should get a sedan for her next company car. An Altis will do but a Camry would be much better.

Hehe wala eh sadyang may mga ganung tao talaga. Personally, wala naman akong nakikitang problema sa montero eh aside from yun nga, masikip sa loob, hindi kagandahan yung likod, design ng umbok sa center panel, etc. Pero parang walang kwenta din to brag it and say it's the best over its other peers in its segment. The same goes for any other specific car from the same or other segments. Wala naman kasing perpektong coche eh. They all have their own advantages and disadvantages.

Agree with Egan doc. Go for it already. You've wanted one for a while. Life is too short.

But I do have a couple of big friends who don't mind at all and actually prefer the cocooned feeling inside.
Ang panget din kasi sa masikip na interior is may tendency mangalay ang katawan ng passengers during long trips. Mas ok yung may freedom kang makagalaw kahit papano. Kung mejo maliit ang car mo like compact, subcompact or mini then forget about griping regarding space dahil given na yun sa size nila pero sa midsize suv kasi hindi ganun eh. Kaya ayaw din ng iba pag limited ang adjustments ng space sa loob, like me. Tho kung space talaga ang priority, then might as well get a van na lang hehe.

If space is a key requirement from an SUV, get yourself a full-size one. An Exped or LC or Patrol Royale will be good ones to own.

Kung budget mode, the Innova is the practical choice. However, the Kia Grand Carnival will be better.

Di ko magets bakit preferred nung dalawa kong kaibigan na malaki yung MS. Both 6 footers and pushing a combined weight of almost 200kg. Both of them have had the 2nd gen and 3rd gen so I guess for them its Mitsu or bust.

Brand familiarity has a hand in it I suppose. But for me it's best to see what the other makes are also offering. Might keep you from something better if you only buy from only one brand di ba.

You're only missing out if you restrict yourself to one brand. Personally, if I were buying an SUV, space is a prime consideration aside from reliability.

Anlaki ng sasakyan sa labas, pero sikip sa loob. Saan napunta ang pera mo? Kung accessories lang hanap, pwede pa mabili sa labas. Pero space can never be upgraded.

If only budget ain't an issue, it would be lovely to get one of them. But sadly, aside from that, those ain't practical choices here too.

Mostly the innova nga seems ideal for that purpose although it isn't an suv but it still has advantages like having cheaper tires, lower srp, etc. Buti nalang din it has a much powerful diesel engine now compared to its predecessor.

Yep, montero can barely fit three people in the second row, unlike other ppvs and some mpvs na kaya pang makasingit ng pang-apat. If only mitsu made it a little bigger, then it would be on par with the others in that aspect. Sana ganun gawin sa magiging successor niya.

Was wondering how they could discount the MS aggressively before. Malaki din siguro cost savings ng Mitsu sa MS, being smaller than the rest of the field.

The next gen MUX looks interesting given the great initial impressions on the all new Dmax.

Eh maybe. Or generous lang talaga magbigay ng discounts ang mmc since nagbigay sila ng 500k discount dati for the aging and outgoing pajero. Awkward din nga kung nag scrimp sila ng space para sa cheaper srp ng montero eh from what we can see, the new gt 4x4 nowadays is not exactly cheaper than other totl rivals. Around 2.45m na as compared to 2.4m or below ng iba.

Eto bet ko ngayon kasi ang laki ng improvement inside and outside plus nvh kaso hindi bagay yung effeminate design ng harap for a big suv. Kung niretain lang nila yung front end ng d-max, it would be a big winner although hindi din ako fan ng electronic parking brake niya. Also concerning me is the pricing, baka malaki patong ni ipc pag dinala na nila rito sa pinas.

The Ford is like an attractive, well-endowed girl ... looks exceptional, feels exceptional ... but then there's the maintenance issue ... regularly needs to go to parlor ... and also regularly needs to go to parlor ... then there's the regular need to go to the parlor ... plus the cost of creams, cosmetics, makeups to keep in tip-top shape ... rarely on time ... cannot be depended on ... great when new ... gets horrible when old ...

The Toyota is like the girl, next door ... looks good with features that lasts ... dependable ... practical ... works well ... good career ... low maintenance ... ages gracefully ...

It’s a shame relating girls to vehicles. You go out with the girl you like and you feel good with. You don’t go out with someone who’s good at house chores unless she’s hot as hell, unless you find excitement sleeping with someone who will do all the house chores. Hehehehe

Yup, ang awkward ng analogy niya hahaha. But anyways, pinoys naman kasi are often enamoured by good looks.

Agree with the Mux. Looks class-leading in space and NVH. Archaic as it sounds, but I'm hoping they don't include the electronic parking brake in local models. Much like how they retained the hydraulic PS in local Dmax.

Yan ang maganda. Tapos 3.5 V6 na Camry. Sarap ng ride. Dami na mura ngayon, may iba less than 400k. Reliable naman kaya basta Toyota, so less chances of problems kahit 2nd hand diba? 😂
