Kumusta po. Baka pede pong makahingi ng information about Ford Lynx Rs. target car ko po kasi kaso wala po ako ideas or information about it. 1st car po kasi kung sakali. Kahit anong information about the car lalo na yung sa FC (matipid po ba? city and province driving), Maintenance (parts, cheaper po ba at madali maghanap ng parts?), Power(ano po ba engine type nito?)at iba kung meron man. Maraming maraming salamat po.

    It's a 2.0 liter FS-DE Mazda engine. 142 hp, 142 ft-lbs of torque.

Fuel economy in the city is typically 6-8 km/l. Highway is 10-12 km/l... 14-16 on the NLEX.

Some parts are harder to find than the 1.6 Lynx. Others... about as easy... there are Banawe shops that sell engine electronics and stuff (MAF, IACV, throttle, ignition coils, etcetera) for the 2.0 at prices similar to Japanese cars (some are even cheaper).

At this point, early RSs are five years old, and many have been abused, so buying one secondhand means you'll have to have a mechanic accompany you to inspect the car you are planning to buy.

At this age, typical problems will include clutch issues, grinding gears (if abused), bushing and ball-joint issues (depending on how many kilometers are on the odometer and where the owner drove the car), brakes and idle issues. Also check if the CD changer skips and for wear on the leather and seat fabric. If the car was heavily modified and abused, it can also eat oil, so check the dipstick and oil cap, too.

Not really much different from most Japanese cars of the same age. The only caveat is that this is a 2.0 liter car, so expect running and fuel costs to be more than for your typical 1.6... though fuel economy is about as good as most 1.6 automatics... or even better in traffic. The only real irritants specific to the RS are the clutch (if it's still original, you may need to have the flywheel machine-shopped to prevent clutch shuddering) and the steering alignment, which is very sensitive and hard to get right.

The nice thing about the RS is it's pretty well loaded... six CD six speaker sound system, sunroof, full body kit and mags. Oh, and it handles like a dream and has a very torquey engine...

The bad things are a tricky clutch, poor sound insulation (doors go ka-blag when you close them, not ka-thump) and stock brakes that don't feel adequate for stopping from 200 km/h more than three times in a row... ...of course, if you don't drive like an idiot, that's not a problem.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
