niwde11: hala...tama ba tong mga naririnig ko recently???? sOMeone's being linked to someone??? what the... ?! OT na to ha...
anyway, back to the topic... hindi ako matutuluyan ni papa na turuan for my driving lessons...dyahe naman!!!
Personally, I love the looks of the Lancer, but I wouldn't want to plunk money on a car that hasn't proven its lineage in the past couple of years. I've also been shopping around for a car, more on the 1.5 range since gas is so expensive nowadays, and not likely to get cheaper anytime soon. The 1.3 Getz is cute, but too small. The Kia Picanto is cute, but too small. The 1.6 Optra is fully-loaded, but is a gas guzzler (rumored). The 1.6J Altis is entry-level, no ABS, airbags, but fully-powered and is a good choice. However, the real battle for me is between the 1.5G Vios and the 1.5 VTEC City. The Vios has ABS, driver side airbag, yucky (imho) center instrument panel that's digital and quite hard to see, and rear leg room that, I think, is more cramped than the City. The City looks like a flowerhorn fish (need to get used to it), but comes with 15 in mags, ABS, driver and passenger airbags, in-dash CD that can play MP3s, muffler that looks cool, absolutely to die for instrument panel (Optitron?), foldable rear seats, and wonderful shifting performance. Speed is no longer an option (unless you have a death wish), but reputation, build, maintenance expenses, and gasoline expenses. I'm going for the Honda City 1.5 VTEC m/t, even if it has 8 sparkplugs versus the 4 of the Vios. So to answer your question: It's either the Jazz (more expensive but looks better), or the City. However, since you're rich, why not try the Altis 1.6E or 1.6S (sport trimmings)? If you want, the 1.8G is the top of the line. If I weren't concerned about price and gas, I'd go for the 1.6S personally.
afaik the vtec variant has 4 sparkies....the idsi has the 8 sparks..Originally Posted by manilenio
manilenio, altis is like my fourth choice. But thanks for the suggestion anyway..... I'll try to check by the time I can test drive it..![]()
margaux: maybe some of us can offer to teach you once in a while, just to get practice? :D
wow...thanks for the offer..I appreciate it.... but the car has borrowed for a month so I can't use any car as of now.... I was planning to take driving lessons sa A1 but it's expensive eh..Originally Posted by nugundam93
it's actually okay for me..it's just that my problem is no car to use for the practice. :waah:
yeah.....like I already don't know the basics.. All I can remember are the words but haven't put it into practice yet....
Why don't you try a pick-up? Since it's your first time driving, and you're gonna use it everyday to and from Makati/Bulacan, maybe it'd be safer for you. Besides, a girl behind a pickup truck? Hottie!![]()
what kind of a pick-up truck are you suggesting then?Originally Posted by manilenio

i will still go for the cvt jazz 1.3. i am planning(hope God hears me) to have one as my daily drive(within the city). sa taas ng gas ngayon, pinaka-ok sya para sa akin.
OT.margaux; maybe you can ask nugundam93 or umzzzzzz to teach you how to drive with their corresponding ride.(joke lang).
