i'm choosing between mitsubishi lancer mx and honda city...which is better??

At the price they are selling Lancers, good value for money na din. Though medyo makakabili ka na nga ng basic model ng Hyundai Tucson at that range.

but if those are your choices, i'd veer away and get the mazda3 instead since 850k naman pala ang budget.

850k? Go to Ford Manila. Buy one of the last two or three Ford Lynx RS's that they still have. 819k asking price, 100k km warranty. Cool as hell, moonroof, 6CD changer, full bodykit and mags, and that wonderful engine. It was a real bargain when I got it (1.6 Lynx Ghia + bodykit and mags would cost MORE than the RS) and it still is now. :lol:

IMHO, the difference between the two would not be that big to become the dealmaker/dealbreaker.

It's just one aspect of the vehicle. Choose the one that more aptly fills your needs and wants.

I don't really believe in 'genderizing' cars. Heck, my ex-drove a Nissan Frontier 4x4.

The Focus is more of a "family man" or businessman-type car. It's plush and comfortable, with good sound insulation. But it's also a great weekend car, good body control and steering.

The Focus' soul-mate, the Mazda3, is the guy car. Stiffer suspension, sportier feel, more techno interior.

The Focus comes in 2.0 liter AT hatchback or 1.8 liter AT sedan form. The sedan has all leather, 8-speaker (not so sure) CD Changer and dual-zone aircon. The hatch has euro-style leather-cloth combo seats, but still has the dual-zone aircon and everything else.

I like the hatch, I'm a little leery of the 1.8, as the car is a bit too heavy for a 1.8 automatic. Fuel consumption has been reportedly poor, but owners say it gets better as the engine loosens up.

There is now also the Focus 1.6, but it only gets the regular rotary knob front aircon (just like in other compacts). It's a little expensive at 780k, but think of it as buying a 1.6 Audi or Volvo for half-price instead of paying extra for a Japanese car... the insulation and ride are that good. The 1.6 also comes in a manual, and should be easy on gas (just don't get the auto!)

get the xtrail ! sulit sobra or the new grand vitara streth the budget lang a little and you wont regret it or get a 2nd hand 1st gen crv
