these cars came with "casa" aesthetics. which will you pick:

MAZDASPEED familia----afaik, bodykit, suspensions are not the same with regular familias. released 95-98 (correct me on this).>< 200k current price

NISSAN series 2 GTS----afaik, bodykit lang (maybe im wrong)><150k
    series 3 GTS----afaik, same as series 2, bodykit lang.><220k.

Add your known cars na naglabas ng special series. so far, ford focus RS ang alam ko other than the 2(mazda and nissan), but its not comparable kasi mas bago IMHO.

I'm already too familiar with the GTS B14 Sentra so i'll lean on this. Outright though the Mazdaspeed has the better package given the suspension set-up.

Yeah, the Mazdaspeed has more kit and more changes than the GTS.... the GTS didn't even have rear discs!

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

IMHO, i think mazdas are better than nissans.. we used to own a mazda familia glx, then a nissan sentra eccs.. although not casa modified units and mas bago yung mazda, sa mazda pa rin ako..

i think corolla trd pwede din dito..

+1 for the Mazdaspeed. AFAIK it also has a different ECU setting.

Though be warned, there are some "Mazdaspeeds" out there that are in fact only 323s with bodykits (since you can have the bodykit installed before from the casa itself).

    Bias.. syempre mazdaspeed
    the goodies....

    MAZDASPEED Famila
    Mazdaspeed stuffs
    - MS body kits (wrap around + wing)
    - MS adjustable struts
    - MS springs by Eibach
    - MS strut bar
    - MS steering wheel by MOMO
    - MS shift knob
    - MS Mags (Rota Astrals) w/ MS logo

mga rare stuffs nang MS na meron sa Pinas
    - MS gauge (si caloy meron)
    - MS muffer
    - MS hightension wires
    - MS clutch kit

mga rare ulit na sa ibang bansa meron
    - MS thermostat
    - MS seats
    at madami pang iba, hehe.

common problem nang famila naman ung mga B6 (EFI) na is ung idling, which can be solved on a couple of things. Ung last na narinig ko is ung palit nang distributor (price range from P700 to as high as P4000)

more help and info sa site namin sa Protege Tech po .

BTW as for the ECU settings, alam ko modified engine internals (only few, very few) different story i got (nasa site din nang PTP). For higher rev limits, ung iba nag papalit nang ECU na pang Lantis.

    Tibay engine nang mazda! :D

it should be worth noting that those fancy MS adjustable shocks are probably busted by now.. and you'll have a heck of a time replacing them.. and Zee/Cruven's shock inflation treatment will NOT make them like new.

I used to believe the hype that Zee/Cruven's shock repair would magically restore your shocks. But, having done that on our old Mazda 626 and still enduring a bumpy ride.. the ride of our Mazda3 is worlds better.

From my experience, the Zee/Cruven treatment does these two things:

    1) stiffens the suspension so the car doesn't oscillate or jump up and down
    2) increases the ride height so your undercarriage does not hit humps

    HOWEVER,

    3) the treatment is only good for 8 months or so (had it done last September, as of March gastado na naman..)

so don't get too excited over those MS shocks. they will bedevil you when the time comes to replace them.

I agree, swerte na lang kung ok pa ung MS shocks, so better have it checked. As for me, same din ginawa nang Cruven on my MS shocks, which i replaced na din with a KYB Excel-G (rear only) ok pa ung front, mas mataas lang konti w/ MS Springs. But, if you want a low ride, get a B+G shocks and stock shocks is also fine.

BTW, note ko lang. Resale value lang nang Mazda ang nde ok, pero sure hit sa second hand buyers.

Goodluck bro and hope to see you on our PTP fr soon!

Matanong ko lang mga sir, I'm currently looking for an MS 323 Familia kasi and I'm not really familiar with the gen 2.0 specs:

    RED:
    http://images01.olx.com.ph/ui/11/19/...edrepriced.jpg
    1997 orig mazdaspeed(repriced) - Parañaque - Cars - mazda 2 skirt

    97 original mazdaspeed (repriced) Philippines - 2879453

*From the pics, it's got the MS steering wheel and strut bar, pero hindi rear wheel disc brakes niya:

... and overhauled na yung engine.

    BLACK:

    1997 MAZDASPEED Philippines - 3142451

*From the pics, looks like MS body kits lang given the ordinary Familia interior (steering wheel, shift knob etc)
    http://cdn.sulitstatic.com/images/20..._image0322.jpg

Which of these two Mazdaspeed copies is a better package?

Mukhang no hope to find a real Mazdaspeed version on the internet ads (haven't checked Mazdatech yet), meron pa nga matic version daw.

Pa-help naman po how to really identify a real Mazdaspeed?

For ocular inspection, is it safe to base in on the rear disc brakes, MS steering wheel, shift knob and MS strut bar?

    Thanks.

MAZDASPEED Familia vs. NISSAN SENTRA series2 or 3 GTS.
