    Ganun pala yun.

why ? care to elaborate ? cite some facts na rin that could back-up your statement

    FC = hindi gaanong nagkakalayo
can you cite some figures ?

actually, i dont get this. so you're telling na kung ano yung mas madami sa daan ay mas pogi ? so hindi pogi yung land rover, bmw, benz and stuff dahil mas pogi sakanya ang vios kasi mas madami siya sa daan ? hmmmm.

    I don't remember our MS reached 14km/L.

Pero the SF really reached 19.9km/L (6th gear * 100km/h)

Mas masa kasi Marian Rivera kaya mas kilala.

So pag mas kilala mas maganda na?
So ang ganda pala ni Mother Theresa.

I have the same dilema as the TS. I had a chance to test drive the MS (non VGT), and would need to test drive the SF to compare.
Purpose of the vehicle would be for daily use... work, family transport (mostly city driving). Also, we love to travel as a family so it should also be reliable and comfortable for long drives, e.g. pagudpud, baguio, sagada, bicol... just to name a few.

thank you for all the insights given...

Go for the SF. You would love its suspension and handling in the long run

I would have to agree with jhnkvn; based on what you said here, and on the other thread. It is my opinion you really want a very car-like vehicle, and the Santa Fe is that.

As for being reliable; time will tell. They seemed to have improved in that area. If you only intend to keep it for 4 or 5 years, you should be fine though.

There are not enough Santa Fe's here at the moment, to gauge future re-sale value. But based on other countries, expect a higher depreciation than the Mitsubishi.

Sayang hindi ko nasubukan ang flood wading capability ng Montero namin before, pero off roading ok talaga. Ang tibay haha. And I wouldn't dare to drive our SF sa farm. Hehe

On a side note, I have seen Fortuner's also tackling floods this high also just outside our place na nakakatakot kapag bumaha.

had been in the same scenario six months ago, choosing between MS and SF. Ended up having the MS 2.5 GLS now, No regret, I would say best bang for the buck talaga ang Montero for me. And that's just me.

I agree with you.. SF or MS.. basta ang importante happy ang owner... wala naman tayong nakukuhang commission sa HARI at MITSU kapag sinabi natin na their brands are better than the others... :-)

Mas maluwag ba talaga interior ng sta fe? Nauna kong nasakyan ang sta fe a few years ago and parang nasikipan ako sa kanya, on the other hand yung monty ng bro ko mukhang maluwag sa loob. Although admittedly may pagka hyundai fanboy ako because my last 3 vehicles are hyundais, medyo inclined ako towards the monty kasi mas mataas ground clearance and bagay suspension niya sa crater like roads natin. Pero kung mas maluwag talaga ang sta fe....space kasi is one of my concerns din.

^ Choose what is better for you. Or the car that you really prefer.

Hindi ko na maalala yung interior space ng sta fe kasi medyo matagal narin since i last sat on one. If only the sta fe has the ground clearance of the monty.. No brainer na sana. Kaso sa monty ground clearance lang din ang advantage, everything else sa sta fe na, medyo i have this urge for speed pa naman.
