i have used an '97 L300 for more than 10 years. the engine is ok pero ayaw ko yong timing belt. dapat it should be changed at 80,000 km instead of the recommended 100,000 km for safety. better safe, ika nga. i used line magnets from the UK and saved 8-10%. mausok talaga. we greatly reduced FC by 30% long drive; greatly reduced emissions with another device. nagtataka ang MMDA pag dumadaan kami sa edsa. i do not like to recommend the device kc nilait ng mga tsikoteers d2 sa forum. pls dont judge an engine b4 driving it.
my next vehicle maybe the Mits Galant or the L200 any year model kc we could enhance it with electronic devices. tnx

sa parts, walang tatalo sa l300. 25 taon na ito sa pilipinas, at may brand new pa rin.

Sinusundan ng Crosswind yung yapak ng L300. 25 years have passed, same car being sold as brand new. Hehehehe.

The h100 is heavily based on the L300 exceed. The 2.6 engine itself is also a 4d56 upgraded to modern standards. Theres not much different other than the h100 has benefitted from human ergonomic, safety, and material advances in the last 25 years or so. The L300 has not.

If you want to be nice to yourself get the H100. If you are dead set on saving as much money as you can, then get the L300. But then I believe the H100 is sturdy enough. As mentioned, it's basically a Delica underneath and has benefited from modern Hyundai facilities. In fact, in other countries it has CRDi, 4x4 and A/T variants available. I personally like the H100. It's as modern as a typical 21st century-developed van. The L300 is undoubtedly an 80s car. Even the previous gen Canter seems to be more refined and modern than this one.
