February 13th, 2011 12:30 PM #1Need Help Guys..
Thanks..
Dagdag na din siguro dito is the fuel efficiency..
I need you insights ASAP..
Thanks in Advance mga KaTsikot.. ^_^

February 13th, 2011 06:00 PM #2Hyundai Elantra nalang, basta yung bago ang ikuha. Toyota cars are lifeless creatures... Pero kung aabot sa price range ang Sonata, by all means get it! GDi ah! We at the Philippines are too unfortunate to not have it. Fuel efficiency should be OK as long as it is driven with a light foot, its a lot more rewarding to drive.

The Corolla is best selling passenger car in the US. Don't know how the US markets go and how service is there... But if service is equal I prefer the new Elantra over the Corolla...

February 13th, 2011 11:00 PM #8Sonata GDi starts at just $19395 and 2.0T at $24345!!! Kadaya-daya... Ang nakukuha natin for $35000+ is just the 178ps MPI... Lalo na ako naiinis sa ating gobyerno everytime I see the prices of the cars in the US.

US yan eh, FIRST WORLD COUNTRY. A car is a basic need in FIRST WORLD. I used to live in Canada, and mura lang din kotse dun parang US lang din... In a THIRD WORLD country like ours. Cars are LUXURY! So the government will tax people who can buy a car! Mahal din kotse in other parts of the world...

February 14th, 2011 07:27 PM #10I have noticed that you really like to put the terms "1st world" and "3rd world" in your posts. Hmm... you are right. The US is big and everything is far apart so you can hardly go anywhere without a car. But then, the Philippines may not be as rich but cars are equally important to us! Even lower-income families have and need a good and reliable vehicle! It may be a luxury in the 60s and 70s but not now. Since you seem to be quite good at these economic things, I'd ask if Taiwan is considered 1st world? I have lots of relatives there and they told me that even our closest neighbor has a version of the Cash for Clunkers program and heavily encourages their people to buy and buy and buy to bring about more money circulation. During the economic crisis of 2008, the government even gave away free money in the form of universal gift cheques (worth around NT$3000) to each citizen just for them to keep on buying! And even their car prices, though not as low as that of the US, are lower than ours! Also take into consideration the limited land area that they have. More buying means a stronger economy, what is our government thinking?! Sorry about the long rant, I just needed to vent my frustration.
*TS: So how is it going? Have you found the ideal car? I highly suggest the Sonata. $19000 is a steal for an executive sedan that looks like the CLS and can go in excess of 220km/h!
as an aside, in the olden days, anyone who does not move 'ala luksa during Holy Week, especially...
Traffic!
