what would you choose between these two cars and why?

    Below are my categories:

    1. Fuel consumption
    2. reliability
    3. driving experience
    4. passenger comfort / space
    5. maintenance cost

    Thanks!

    1. Fuel consuption - i'm averaging 10-12km/Li on HEAVY Traffic, 12-14 on Light to Moderate Traffic, 21-24km/li on HWAY. I dont know about City
    2. Reliability - Old story na yung reliability issue of Hyundai and Kia, plus 5 years warranty ng Hyundai vs 3 years of Honda
    3. Driving Experience - Sarap paglaruan ng Accent... It's not boring to drive.. Power is there when you need it without worrying about it's FC
    5. Maintenance cost - You'll spend about 3.5k(semi Synthetic) or 5.1k(fully Synthetic) every 5000-6500(still acceptable as per casa)km on Accent. The 3 month rule is no longer true. I dont know about the City.

The Accent being VGT CRDi is definitely superior in terms of fuel consumption and engine performance but with higher maintenance and parts cost. In terms of comfort, the Accent has the softer suspension which would give a better ride but but also inferior handling as compared to the City.

Accent crdi. diesel + power e.

sabihin nating mas mahal ang maintenance ng diesel, mababawi rin naman dahil fuel efficient at mas mura ang diesel

    1. Fuel consumption - Accent based on what I've read.
    2. reliability - I've owned an FD, at wala naman naging problema, I've never owned a Hyundai, so I'll say Honda.
    3. driving experience - depends on what kind of a driver are you, Mukhang good stuff yung Accent sir, malakas daw ang makina..
    4. passenger comfort / space - Haven't tried both actually, but I think the Honda will be a more comfortable ride. (Bias na ako dito)
    5. maintenance cost -PMS ng diesel ay mas mahal compared sa petrol (I'm not so sure pero parang narinig kong ganun sya) , pero sa presyo ng diesel vs. sa presyo ng gas. bawi lang din sya, or baka mas malaki pa nasave mo kung nag diesel ka.

3 vs 2 in favor of Accent for me.

I tried umupo sa likod seats ng City and mas comfortable sya, this is because kulang sa slant yung Accent...Front driver and front passenger naman, same lang yung confort nung dalawa..

Plus the difference is not much, its not like 1k for City and 5k for Accent... sa accent nga lang eh every 5-6.5k ang interval... ewan ko lang sa City..

I dont know where you get that the Accent has a higher Parts Cost... Maybe a little bit in Maintenance but Parts? Plus the fact the Hyundai, you will have extra 2 years of warranty since 5 years sya...

I'll take the city over the accent any day or even think about lancer ex glx a/t.

edit: maintenance for the city is every 10k average of 4-5k per pms.
