Because it is more feature pack than a City.

Is it really the features or the global image? The Jazz/Fit is marketed in the US, Europe and Asia and some other parts of world while the City is for Asia only...(before). It was reported that the 2009 City will be introduce in Europe.

If you compare city with jazz, (not the new models which are now totally different), they are almost similar except the body which the city has more metal which I believe would also entail production cost. But still the Jazz is priced higher than the City.

Any idea on how much the new 2009 City will be priced, relative to the newly released GE Jazz?

For price comparison purposes, I got this from Honda Leasing Thailand...

only difference is the body the city has more metal. the cost of production is the difference. at the time i bought my jazz ang explanation sakin nung agent is the rear door of the jazz is being installed in thailand. walang makina yung planta ng honda philippines to have that installed, compared with the city dito na binubuo. as per the sales rep at alabang yan.

Hello guys planning to buy a car soon.

what are the pros and cons of these cars?
HONDA CITY 1.5 VS. HONDA JAZZ 1.5

In terms of
Fuel Consumption
Ride Quality
Handling
Speed/Performance
Acceleration
Noise ( Cabin Sound Insulation )
Etc.

thanks

I think mechanically, they are almost similar. The 2009 Jazz looks really hot and it has a plethora of mods and body kits which can make it look and go better. I'm a bit more conservative though and chose the 2009 City.

I think this time, the City has a lot of oommpphhh vs. the Jazz.....
(That is, if I were to replace our 05Jazz end of the year, which I will, most probably, I'll go get a City)....

I`d opt for the city, especially with the grey metallic ( is that the right term? ) color. The city kasi is in the luxurious side, while the jazz is on the sporty side. Pero nonetheless, I think the city is still better.

The City may handle better than before, but the Jazz still handles better and is much more practical. The City seems to have more comfortable front seats, though, but that's something you have to decide for yourself, as seating comfort is very subjective.

Jazz. I prefer hatchbacks over a sedan. And somehow I think the Jazz will have higher resale than the City even though mas luma na sya...

Jazz,
Better FC
Better handling
More interior space (The roofline of the city is really low)
Better interior design (Still cannot get over the china looking stereo of the city)
More versatile luggage Area, ULT is great! (You can basically make the whole back part your trunk)
Better driving vision

if you're into utility and badly needed that back space, then go for the jazz otherwise get the city.

it really depends on your purpose --- what you're gonna be using it for.

Same with me. At my status now (a father with a toddler), I opt for the Jazz. But if I was still at your age chicosci and single, obvious choice is the City. It really depends on your needs.
Honestly, your a lucky person, soon to have a car but you know little about it. Just do your homework first. :peace:

Agree with Sir Niky on the practicality of Jazz. The rest of the posters even leans favourably on the Jazz. ULT pa rin sya..I find the Ivitec engines though quite noisy as it revs on its own occassionally..

Jazz is a better pick. Roomier, quieter, better FC and IMO, much better looking than the City. interior for me is a lot better than the City's not to mention the fact that seats are ULT already.

JAZZ.. kasi mas maporma.. global model (unlike the city which is only available in Asia Pacific and Africa).. on the practical side: more spacious (overall), flexible seat configuration, appears to have better interior plastics..

between 1.3 and 1.5 for both of the cars.. which one would be a good choice if you would be using it for a long time.. in the long run, a 1.3 or a 1.5?
