I feel that the VF3 is only cute if you're around 30 and below...

i was enamored by it when i saw it in the metal in the workplace parking.
it reminded me of the clunky owner jeeps that i grew up with. but when i katok-d the sheet metal... it wasn't metal! plastic or fiberglass, i guess.

agree. it looks really cute. saw one at G4 but never had the chance to see how it looks like inside.

when I told my daughter that the car is so tempting, she said I can always tell people that I borrowed it from her. coding ko kasi

I think that is the shape of things to come. Electrification allows the use of a "skateboard" chassis and the body can be anything you want. The Slate truck supported by Bezos and Telo truck are like this.

    in my opinion,
    the technology is there.
but it would be a huge gamble on whoever wishes to pioneer on it.

The immediate problems will be protection for the battery and added reinforcement for the weight of said battery. While there are workarounds one can do (madiskarte naman talaga tayong mga pinoy, diba), there is a limit when you factor in safety, creature comforts, and efficiency.

Currently, the new trend among EV carmakers is CTB for electric vehicles (stands for Cell-to-Body). It's a modern battery integration method where the battery cells are integrated directly into the vehicle's body structure, making the battery pack a functional part of the car's frame. It is an exercise in high-level design which is basically integrating and optimizing power cells with the chassis and frame. I don't think our Cavite builders are at that level yet.

Nasa isip ko iyong mga conversion kits. Malayo pa nga sa frame integrated battery. Bigat din kasi batteries ngayon. Kung mas naging dense ma siguro.

Order basis siguro Dok. Pero iyon kung common na siguro mga kits at madali mag order ng parts, gaya ng mga 4K, 5K engine parts.

Just an update guys, we chose MG ZS and got it last tuesday! Iba rin talaga feel ng dht compared to traditional a/t and cvt. Deciding factors were the simplicity of the hybrid set-up (no need to plug-in, just on and drive), features (ADAS, 360, panoramic sunroof) and vicinity ng mga dealers sa amin. Thanks sa mga inputs nyo.
