Mga Masters newbie lang din po... bibilhan po ako ng tatay ko ng kotse pag uwe nia sa december.. okay po sana Honda SiR, kaya lang nalilito po ako kc hindi ko alam titignan kung tunay na Sir or Sir look lang.. sa mga website kc minsan hindi nla sinasabi kung sir look. what po ba main difference and dapat tignan sa body para malaman kagad.

Hmm~ There are some very convincing replicas out there. But then these are almost always modified. Get the stock ones as much as possible.

Look for stock SiR's with rear disc brakes, no chrome strips on the doors, leather steering wheel and shifter, pop the hood and look for the DOHC VTEC cam cover.

Open the hood and a real SiR has a B16 engine which should check out on the papers as the original engine.

Ginagawa ata ng iba, tinatanggal lahat ng mods tapos ibebenta ng "stock since new" daw.

I know of one stock since new SiR. Nakatambak sa garage ng kakilala ko (pang coding nalang ata).

Yan naman dream car ng mga gigil sa hatawan, SiR. Cheap to acquire at fast enough kahit bone stock. Ultimate boy toy, parang di ka pa nasanay.

Magkano na ang sir ngayon? If its 250+ then bibili na lang ako ng 2nd hand 2007 honda civic fd which are priced 350+. Konti na lang idadagdag, its newer and lesser risk of headaches.

Seriously? Marami nang pagpipilian na mas bago kesa sir jan ah. Kung 450 yan eh ipangdadown ko na yan ng brand new.

Definitely.

I wouldn't pay more than 350k at this point for a "cherry" SiR.


The only redeeming value of the SiR is the fantastic motor. That's worth 100k over a VTi of the same vintage (worth around 190-250k now), but no more than that.

The SiR doesn't have a super-special suspension, super-special body kit or a bespoke interior. Just the skirts, the mags and the lights.

Tip: Just make sure your brakes stop you before a tree or a concrete wall does.

Baka kasi sa sobra thrill mo to go faster and faster you forget the brakes.

Seriously speaking, for a first car, you're better off with a Type Z City. Or if you really really really want an EK, the VTi should do just fine. Just find a manual.

Make sure your weak, non-ABS equipped brakes will stop you in time? Hehehe... if that's one thing that was sorely lacking (aside from a stiffer suspension) on the SiR, it was better brakes...

lagi pa pinagmamalaki ng mga naka SiR na "special" yung suspension nila. haha
