by the way mga sir, thanks ng madami sa issuggest niyo. thanks and god bless,,

i also had the same dilemma as you when i was planning on getting which car. i ended up getting a jazz because the the bigger trunk space it had. the swift was less expensive though.
I have a friend who owns both a jazz and swift. when i asked him which he preferred, his vote went to the jazz.
i suggest you go to the nearest suzuki and honda dealer and take both cars for a spin.

The jazz 1.3L is not that underpowered, given that it has 100hp. You will just have to push the engine to the upper RPM range to get the most performance out of it as compared to cars with slightly bigger engines.
That being said, if you drive the Jazz 1.3L conservatively, you will get excellent fuel mileage probably better than the Swift 1.5L can ever give you.
Just to give you a comparison on the power:
Swift 1.5 = 110hp * 6000 rpm
Jazz 1.3 = 100hp * 6000 rpm
Comparing the weight:
Swift = 1030 kg
Jazz = 1050 kg
So if you put them together, the Swift is not any much faster than the Jazz 1.3L, not enough that you would notice on the road.
So if you choose the Jazz 1.3L, you will get the better car between the two in whatever area you look at. You don't compromise on anything like power vs interior space or looks, etc.
So your best choice is really the Honda Jazz 1.3L M/T.

November 1st, 2010 01:38 AM #7thanks ng marami sa mga suggest niyo mga sir,
i go for jazz na kasi sa makina palang, panalo na,
by the way sir, i will go for Jazz na, kahit medyo iniimpluensyahan ako sa suzuki swift.

IIRC, a lot of people who've driven the City 1.3 and Vios 1.3 say that the 100 hp of the City is quite misleading because most of the time it just feels as powerful as the 85 hp Vios.

November 1st, 2010 08:00 AM #9i will give that point to your dad... i saw a swift dressed like a mini cooper in timog... i think thats cool, but i think jazz is better for many reasons like fuel efficiency and roomy interior... kung porma, halos parehas lang, parang yung mga hatchback sa need for speed di ba
