I have a friend who also in the same situation, ended up buying a Yaris. Why? It has a hefty P70,000 discount so the 1.5 M/T is just P643,000. While the Jazz has no discount and it is only a 1.3 M/T is P722,000. Even with insurance and LTO the Yaris is till cheaper by P50K. Laki ng diperensya! The problem is if you can still find a pre-facelifted Yaris since it sells like hotcakes because of the discount! We were actually lucky to even get a Yaris kasi white gusto namin pero red na nakuha namin kasi nagkaubusan na...

musta na yung tread starter nakabili na kaya siya?
city driving i find the 1.3mt ok, but going out of town especially overtaking those buses and long trucks i find it underpower or nasanay lang ako sa power ng 2.0li when going out of town especially going north.
if ever na maglalabas ng 1.5mt yung jazz i might if budget permits replace my 1.3mt. i like driving stick kaya ndi ko pinili yung much powerful 1.5at.
options for 1.3mt to gain more power. i/h/e

No you're too late bud... It was for the old stock of Yaris (before the facelift) and yeah I wouldn't be surprised if the facelifted Yaris has no or very low discount since kakalabas pa lang... Tanong mo kung meron silang old stock, pero I doubt meron...

Actually this is a very interesting comparison already unlike before kasi malaki discount ng Yaris the difference could have been as high as P150,000. Now the Yaris is the more expensive machine by around P9000 (comparing the manual versions, the automatic versions are even slimmer P4000 lang ata I believe) but since may P10K discount ang Yaris then its still cheaper by P1000. I don't think the Jazz has a discount last I check wala. The Yaris has the better engine, but the Jazz has the better space and functionality. Should be a great match!

August 15th, 2009 04:48 PM #30sayang nga, anyways im also looking for 2nd hand yaris, 2008 model 530k neg, check ko sya tom. kung mabbawasan ko pa sya then good if not then i have to weigh in kung ok na ba sya for a 2nd hand or mag bnew nlang.
if the difference between yaris and jazz is just 10k will you still go for yaris if ang habol mo ay fuel-eff at low maintenance?
