Hands down Honda City. In the long run, you saved on your periodic check-up (2 times a year only). Acceleration is very fast, comparable to my Civic. I just do not trust Toyota because my Innova G broke down on the 4th year of service. Maybe thats just me.
Twice a year lang din ako sa Vios. Palit oil filter every 5k and synthetic oil every 10k![]()
Looks like the Vios concedes to the City based on the ASEAN NCAP tests
Kotse.com ASEAN NCAP
The Vios has no ESP so it only qualified for (and got) 4 stars. City and Fiesta got 5.

1 star difference.
And if you'd crash, you're probably doing more than what the tested controlled speed was. So on either cars, it's either you end up dead or you'd be lucky to get out alive. Which makes me remember that incident wherein a Vios J Limited collided with a Ford Everest on SCTEX(?) few months ago. No one died on both parties.
Not being biased or what, but in crashes like this, usually luck (or lack of) really decides on whether you'll be getting off your car dead or alive.
BTT:
None! Accent CRDi Hatchback!
Between these two cars, my vote depends on what transmission you're getting.
For the automatic transmission, I'd get the City, because it has more power than the Vios and you have more gears to play with in the City (5 speed in the City, 4 speed in the Vios, not that it matters, because fuel efficiency wise, it seems the Vios is much more efficient.)
But for the manual guise, I'd get the Vios. It's a 5 speed, and it will blow the City out of the water in terms of fuel efficiency. Plus, it has a little bit more power than the manual 1.3 city. (They don't offer a manual 1.5 city here, sadly.)
last December post Christmas - pre New Year season na, late na kumbaga. P865K - P65K discount for Vios TRD vs. P836K - P25K discount for City 1.5E. Anyway, no regrets naman![]()
nice congrats,, yun Trd ko,red talaga option namin, that time wala mahanap yun agent.
