That's a long time to choose. Why not wait for the next generation to come out?

As far as I can remember sinabi sakin ng agent ko bawal daw gamiting Taxi. Pero pwede daw for Uber.

As for me, I would rather get Toyota Vios because of the overall performance it gives you when you drive it.

    Hi Tsikot peeps,

Noob here and I would like to seek for your expert advise. We're planning to buy our first car (3-4 months from now) and our choice is the same as the OP: 2017 City 1.5 E CVT vs Vios 1.3 E AT? or it is already CVT?

Right now we are leaning towards Vios because of the price. Though mas mahal ang SRP, Php 812K vs Php 804K, mas mura naman and DP and monthly ng vios (5 years). Toyota offers around 65K DP and 16K monthy while Honda offers 120K DP and 16.5K monthly. Cheaper wins for us.

However, mas gusto talaga namin ang 2017 City because of the looks and engine not to mention the interior and boot space. It has more HP and more fuel efficient (according to feedback and reviews).

Any comments/suggestions on the pros and cons for both cars and tips on how to get discount on the DP especially Honda?

    Thanks!

Get the one that you want rather than settling for something else.

    get the toyota.
your wallet seems to favor it.

1,110K for the city, versus 1,025K for the vios, spread out over 5 years.

"there is nothing free in the auto industry. they are just creative at hiding the difference somewhere in there."

but yes, there are non-financial considerations. i can't help you there. it's your choice.

If you can shell out that 120k DP, I suggest go with the City.

Pero if budget ang concern, stick with the Vios.

But mind you, may point na mag sisisi ka Kasi based sa statements mo you really want the Honda.

BTW, you can try asking multiple Honda dealerships for better offers. Since 3 to 4 months pa naman, madami pang time. Or better yet, sagarin mo ng December, pag umulan ng promos. But of course mas mura parin yung deal sa Toyota, pero at least mapababa mo yung offer ni Honda para mag swak sa budget mo.

You'd be paying for the Car for the next 5 years. Check your budget, if reasonable naman to go with the City, then look no further.

Wait, something is wrong in this computation. If you really think about it, bakit sobrang laki naman ng patong ng Honda City?

    Toyota Vios 1.3E CVT - P812,000 - P65,000 DP - P16,000/monthly for 5 years
    Honda City 1.5E CVT - P804,000 - P120,000 DP - P16,500/monthly for 5 years

At this computation, I'll definitely go for Vios. Why?
