compact vs mid-size sedan? I think it's better to compare city vs vios or altis vs civic.

Altis for me. It's a higher category than a city.

ill have to go with the altis on this, medyo hindi sila same league. definitely higher yung altis kahit base model.

On the other hand, if you asked new 2008 Honda Jazz vs new 2008 Corolla Altis, I would have said Jazz.

Nobody here has driven the City 2009, yet. The new Altis is, obviously, much better than the current Honda City, in terms of ride comfort, seating space and comfort and looks, but the next Honda City promises to be much better, still.

If you want to know... wait a few months.

sorry to hijack this thread, i was looking at these 2 cars plus the civic but eliminating the city as release is a few months away pa.
so choices ko na lang are the 2008 civic 1.8V m/t and altis 1.6G m/t, which would be a better buy. going into 2009, are they going to change bodies? browsing thru the honda forums, there are rumors of a 2009 minor facelift.

fc, almost the same din daw
power, goes to civic, it's a 1.8 after all.
price wise they are almost the same +/- 10-20k.

Civic will likely have a facelift next year. Corolla sigurado minor changes lang yan if ever since this year lang lumabas.
