Toyota Fortuner 4x2 2.5dsl - 1,418,000
Hyundai SantaFe 4x2 2.2crdi - 1,528,000

Please indicate the reason why you choose that car and why not the other. Thanks!

Fortuner because of abundance of parts and resale
Captiva because it looks great outside and the cheapest of the lot
Sta Fe because its homey inside and also looks great + seats 7

1. sta fe, balance of style, ride, and the best crdi.
2. captiva..i like the style and not a lot have it, so it is still a looker.
3. fortuner...to many people have it and ride isnt as great.

pa confirm lang po, ang Hyundai SantaFe 2.2crdi 4x2 ba ay may 1 or 2 or 6 airbag? kasi nalilito ako eh may nagsasabi 1 airbag iba 2 at meron din nagsasabi 6 airbags daw. ano po ba talaga?

Captiva for me, it has CRDi with VGT and is a looker, not to mention that it is also the cheapest among the three.

Poblema ko lang sa Captiva is its Chevrolet and when you say Chevrolet it reminds me of the Optra and when you say Optra I remember MAINTENANCE or the horros of doing MAINTENANCE So I would go for the Santa Fe. I would not go for the Fortuner pero yun na nga since Toyota siguradong plentiful

Parts availability (aside from cost) is the achilles heel (weakness) of captiva (like most chevys).

Fortuner - very durable. high resale. forget the ride

there seems to be alot of people buying the new captiva. why dont you try and ask them sa parking lot. at least first hand info.

dito kasi sa forum, your guess is as good as ours. parang wala padin member dito nakabili nyan captiva.

sagutin ko lang po. yung 4x2 variant 1 airbag. yung 4x4 po 2 airbag

Maybe they are talking about the 4X4 CRDi model.
There used to be two 4X4 Santa Fe CRDi models, the single airbag model for P1.640M and the dual-airbag model for P1.653M.
I think in the latest price list, only the P1.653M dual-airbag version of the 4X4 CRDi model is listed.
Haven't heard anything about the 4X2 Santa Fe CRDi, as far as I know, its still priced at P1.528M (unchanged?).

if you can't decide based on the lack of passenger airbag or car safety in general

then mag-captiva ka na nga. bec. the major advantage of chevy cars is safety. kumpleto and well thought of talaga ng mga Americans yan. although they say korean daewoo ito, i'm sure may influence naman ang Americans dito bec. after all it's still a GM vehicle.

the practice of Hyundai to remove an integral component of a 21st century car to sell lower is really disappointing. ika nga pag nag-keeping it real din pala Hyundai, di din nila mabebenta ng mababa just like what is the Grand Starex is right now.
