definitely not worth it. never pay more than 500k for a converted vehicle. kahit Gen 2 paj, lc80, etc etc.......

For 500k there are already orig LHD SUV's in the market. Believe me i have a ex JDM box type PAJ. But if i have the money, ill go for a orig LHD machine. IMHO.

Wala namang conversion kit. Subukan mo maghanap kahit saan nun.

Imbentong term lang nila yun to denote a collection of parts needed for the conversion. It is not a kit. They buy the parts individually. They would not even know what a supposed kit contains.

And those parts are just the bare essentials to take the steering wheel from one side to the other. Yung ibang aspects like wipers, side mirrors, dashboard, headlamps, window switches, airconditioning at other aspects ikaw na ang bahala dun.

TOYOTA GEARBOXES IN PAJEROS?

    1 million for a converted LC80..
    hmm..
    the price is ok..
only if the conversion was done correctly..
    nakuha around 500-600K..
yung 400K nagastos sa orig LHD parts..
    and labor also.

my thoughts on that kasi is that if you can afford 1 million, then dapat kaya mo na rin and mga 1.2 million for a orig LHD unit. Tama ba yung pagiisip ko?

IMO, 200,000 is still a lot of money even for those who can afford a 1 million converted RHD LC.

on a brand new orig LHD diesel 4x4 SUV what can you get on a 1 - 1.4mil?

    ford everest lang ba available?

i think it will depend how you define 4x4. marami na kasing klaseng 4x4. but it can be broken down to the city and the trailable 4x4s.

i know the CRV claims "real time 4wd", i don't know what the xtrail and the outlander claim. As for the everest, kung ranger ang origin nya, then the 4x4 must be the trailable kind.

    tama ba yon?

on the other topic of the 200,000 peso difference, i forgot to include in my analysis that an LC, either LHD or converted that is in the 1 million to 1.2 million is an early to mid 1990's model so mahirap/impossible na pala kumuha ng bank financing. so the 200,000 difference would be pretty much cash, and malaki rin pala ang halaga.

i guess my new opinion considering that would be to get an original Gen 2.5 pajero na local (2.8 liter tdic) na lang instead of a convereted LC. opinion ko lang yon dahil ayaw ko ng converted.

saw a LC80 na surplus this morning with the original steering box and all steering components sa underchassis on the right side, but is LHD, the conversion was done only inside the cabin, there was a rod connecting the steering wheel on the left side to the steering rod on the right side. unique way of converting a RHD vehicle to LHD.

I agree 200k is a lot of money, but you will still end up with that amount, kaya lang paunti unti, and there are lot of things na unquantifiable like hazzle, time and worry. There are also things na hindi maeerase kahit convert mo like rust in places that welding was
    done.
After all those conversion that you have done, you will still not be complacent driving in zigzag
    roads specially.

medyo mahal na yung 1M... may patong na yon sigurado....a well done convertion using original LHD Land cruiser parts will just cost you 800T, including the vehicle itself (RHD pa when bought). laki ng patong kung 1M.... 850-900 pwede pa siguro....

na-try ko na pala drive yung LC ng tito ko, its converted pero not from subic. It's good as an original LHD, even better performing on and off road than his LHD 2.5 & 2.8 pajeros. Its converted well, at malaki ang difference sa mga galing Subic (which i drove too).

philippogi, magkano ang ginastos ng tito mo sa unit plus conversion niya? just want to know how much ang magagastos kung maganadang convereted na land cruiser. what year din pala sya?

yung kanya daw was imported from japan din, pero not from Subic auctioneers. Sa japan mismo na-auction ng supplier nya. All in all, kasama na tubo ng importer at converter, plus yung shipping, inabot din ng P900T lahat. 1993 VX Limited Turbo Diesel yung kanya.

i forgot to indicate, stock pa din ang stereo (which needs to be replaced kung mahilig ka makinig sa mga FM stations na nasa 90+mhz ang frequency), yung radio antenna nya nasa left pa din.
