Help in choosing car...

gud pm po, im planning to buy my first car, but my budget is limited to 100~130k, pero i like to have a power steering car... i almost viewed all the cars for sale here and in other sites... im choosing between corolla xe1992, nissan ex sallon 1991~1993 or a lancer el 1992~1994... tanong ko lang po ung corolla xe po ba power steering na? how about lancer el? and nissan ex saloon? and help din po what would be the best buy car for my budget... thanks...

power steering yung mga corolla XE, di ako pmilyar sa nissan at mitsubishi el. I'm planning rin kasi to buy one this coming june. Baka magkasabay pa tayo.

thanks for the fast reply, actually june pa din po ako bibili sabay sa pasukan, pero syempre need to source out n po para makapili talga ng magandang corolla kasi asteeg sa porma, eniwei ung corolla xe po ba eh 1.6L and 16 valve ang engine kasi im onto bigger engine kasi laging puno ung car if ever, gamit kasi ng dad ko series 4 n sentra fe, 1.3L medyo pag puno kami ayaw humataw lalo n sa overtake pero ok nmn po performance... ano ano po ba variants ng 89~92 model n corolla, please,

kasi meron po akong nabasa sa forum n to especially sa nissan ung eccs (fuel injected n po tama ba ako?) pag more than 10y.o. n po ung car baka ung ecu nmn and fuel injection ang magkaproblema, after this siguradong ala n akong pangrepair, wahehehehehe very tight budget kaya ung option ng corolla xe 1992 1.6L 16 valve power steering and carb type parang mas tinitignan ko or gl po ba ung 16valve 1.6L and power steering ng corolla?, please help me in deciding po....

ang 1992 corolla XE is a 1.3L 12-valve, 5-speed M/T with power steering, whereas corolla GL is a 1.6L 16-valve, 5-speed M/T with all power features.
the 1.3L variant produces around 70+ hp while the 1.6L variant 90+ hp... if you choose the 1.3L variant, medyo mabibitin ka sa power lalo na more than 10 years old na kasi siya, i remember one time im driving a corolla XE while going up to mt makiling, the road is so steep na even nasa first gear na ako, with aircon off and only 2 of us nakasakay, hirap na hirap yung engine umandar, the engine RPM is constantly dropping kahit full throttle na ako, buti na lang yung range ng steep road ay hindi ganun kahaba, if not, baka i have to use reverse gear to climb up na

thanks po sa fast reply so i should go up for corolla gl 1.6L and 16valve kasi 1.3L kulang po talaga, and i found another on the forum that nissan jx is a bit like the nissan ss(with eccs) the difference is carb type ung jx? and much lower po ung price? tamo po ba ako? and about sa eccs sa upper part ng thread n pinost ko myth lang po b un or fact? thanks pos a lahat ng nagrereply...

one and final thing may idea po ba kayo sa price ng nissan jx now and nissan 1992~93 n eccs? baka kasi masobrahan ako sa assumptions and kulangin po budget ko, hehehehehe, para atleast im on the right track ng mga cars n dapat kong tignan...

kung maintenance wise, at papopormahin mo in the future, go for the 1.6L "small body" corolla, all power na.....pag nabihisan mo yan..pogi din yan,at par kahit paano sa mga bago ngayon..plus, in the future, pwede mo pa palitan ng 1.6L 20V na 4age/ 4agze na makina..with matching 4-wheel disc brakes, of course!ok din ung "big body" corollas, pero way out sa budget mo,e.....

kung lancer pili mo, ung singkit na gti...1992 model, dohc 1.5L MPI...if you want more power, pasok na ata sa budget mo ung 1992 original na galant gti 2.0L 4g63 engine, all-power na yang dalawa at wala ka nang i-momods pa gaano, kasi baka makuntento ka na sa power nito..body parts nalang din dagdag mo..just find a more stock unit..ung models ng galant and lancer beyond 1992, in stock form, for me ha, parang di ganyang kaganda...

nissan..hmm nothing fancy...mine's a maxima..ok din, pero mahal piyesa at parang v6 kung lumamon ng gas!..ung mga SS at series 3, ok din, pero not that much exciting...kung 1989-92 cefiro naman, patay ka din sa gas, pero 2.4L carb na RWD...iba driving character nito...bluebird, ok din....

wag ka kuha ng matic, sakit ng ulo yan in your case..manual lang..

so my recomendation:

kung gusto mo stock palang ok na, get a lancer or a galant GTI.this i truely recommend.

kung gusto mo normal stock, pero pwede i-modify to a powerhouse, "small body" corolla GL, ung bigbody, malamang 1.3L XL/XE lang makuha mo nyan...

kung gusto cheap car, nissan, pero parts are a bit(siguro, max of 100pesos price diff to a toyota of a same class) steep..plus, lesser ang jdm porma/performance parts...

pero, kung gusto mo talagang makamura ka, at sleeper-car style type mo, kia pride/daihatsu charade ka....madami ka pang sobra or mods and repairs!
