Hi Guys help nyo naman po ako. Plano namin bumili ng car this month. 7 seater and yung choices namin is the Isuzu Sportivo 2010 siguro 500 to 550k or Montero 2010 550-600k siguro. In terms of maintenance na alam ko po mas matipid daw yung crosswind. In terms of kapogian and of course speed and syempre SUV montero lamang..

My vote po goes to montero. Hahaha otherwise search for the manual tranny na monte.
Bring ur trusted mechanic and check the paperworks properly.
By the way i used to drove my uncles crosswind kaya sabiko makupad. Hehe

The maintainance of the crosswind di nagkakalayo sa mga SUV
    i used to own a 03 xuv a/t turbo
my PMS cost 10-60k pesos kaya I can say that maintainance is not cheap kung sa laabs ko mas mura either repair lang kasi sa labas eh.
My vote goes for the Montero get the 3.2 gls se naka timing chain siya so no need to replace timing belt

Hi guys I'm new here. I just want to know which would be a better choice with a 600k budget, a 2009 Montero or 2010 Everest?

The vehicle would primarily be used for city driving but we also go out of town every so often.

Also, hindi ako yung mahilig magkalikot ng kotse so preferably yung madali lang maintain.

    Thank you!

I'd get the Montero. More comfortable ride, more refined handling. The old Everest is more of a workhorse.

Not considering the Santa Fe VGT? Way ahead of the same-era Fortuner/Montero/Everest in terms of performance, handling and ride comfort. 2nd hand resale is cheaper too. Excellent choice if you're not planning on using it for farm duty.

Same lang. FC isn't a big differentiator among these diesel SUVs.

Up ko lang to mga boss. I'm on the same situation right now. Budget 550-650 for a used SUV. Nag hanap ako sa olx around my budget kaso wala ako mahanap 2011 or 2012 gls-v or glx-v na montero in that price range. Im from the province(Visayas) pala mga boss kaya medyo hirap sa pag pili wala masyado nagbebenta nga suv nila. Is the 2010 montero any good?

    Thanks in advance mga sir!

Best to look for those with VGT for more horses for your money. Top of the line 4x4 mga yan, 3.2L 4M41 ang makina. Older turbo pero much better engine design than the 4D56 and much less susceptible to black smoke.

You may also consider the Santa Fe. Not as rugged and off road worthy as the Montero, but more comfortable, fuel efficient and powerful. Pasok na siguro mga 2010-2012 4x2 R eVGT variants. 197hp is nothing to sneeze at. Daredevil engine is still the same one being used in the latest Santa Fe, Sorento and Carnival.

Thank you sir. Actually im also looking into the santa fe option. Kaso parang mga resellers mostly ang nag post sa olx and its over my budget na considering i have to fly to manila to check and hopefully buy the unit. Konting tiis na lang ako to look for those monties you mentioned and also I will try to look more into the santa fe.
