We can't decide yet what car to buy.. We like the design of the fortuner infact we have it but we want to sell it and buy a new one again but we also try to think of another suv.. Mitsu Pajero but we dont like the design especially the front and for the nissan patrol we like the design but it's to big..please give us advice what suv to buy in these 3 choices which has better performance, comfort, good for offroad and onroad..tnx

What's your budget? Since you picked the Patrol, then I'm sure its at the 2-3M range, am I right? Then I'd still suggest you get the Pajero as it gives the most value for money as it qualifies for the JPEPA tax cut. Then again, there's the Toyota Prado. The 3.0 diesel fails to qualify but the 4.0V6 gas does and if fuel efficiency does not matter to you then go for it. And also, I would suggest you look up the Korean offerings as well. The Hyundai Veracruz (unibody chassis) and Kia Mohave (ladder frame chassis) both offer 3.0V6 diesel engines which are way better than all those you've mentioned. Then there's the Jeep Commander 3.0CRD V6, which is worth considering as well since it combines great off road capability and the power and thriftiness of a V6 diesel.

Yes, my budget is 2-3M. I like the size of the suv's that I've mentioned but the problem with veracruz, mohave, sorento it looks small and not so attractive to look unlike with the patrol, pajero, fortuner it looks big and attractive...but i can't decide yet what to buy whether the latest fortuner, pajero or nissan super safari..And with this suv it has good offroad capability

I'd get the Pajero in a heart beat, it ain't too big like the patrol and it certainly rides better than a fortuner. The interior also feels ... well just right

Performance and comfort alone.

The Sorento is smaller than the Verzcruz and the Veracruz is smaller than the Mohave. You should see how big the Mohave actually is! I like these more than the Pajero because when you drive the Pajero, which has the same engine as the Montero Sport, it doesn't have more performance as another car costing one million pesos less. With the Veracruz and Mohave, keeping up with European SUVs are no sweat.

IMHO eye catcher din yung Veracruz at Mohave.. Kung di ka ignorant

Kung ako, Pajero 3.2 DiD agad. Yung Dubai Version in Pearl White color please!

Or Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 150 VX.L Dubai Version.

Kung local version oo. Mas mabagal pa nga ata yung Pajero kasi mas mabigat.

Pero kung Dubai Version, hindi. AFAIK 197HP yung Pajero GLS Dubai Version..

Has anyone driven it? Any noticeable differences? Kapag yang local Pajero kasi... 165hp and may 4WD payan kaya mabigat... And you were always complaining that the Trooper is slow, eh di Pajero slow din? Kaya dun ako sa Veracruz/Mohave.

I don't remember any post(s) na nagreklamo akong mabagal ang Trooper.. :hit:

Among your choices, rumor has it that the Fortuner is receiving yet another facelift this year and will receive a completely new body by 2013.

The Patrol Y61 is quite old and its driving dynamics is really more suitable to rutted provincial roads than city roads.

The Pajero is nice outside but personally I don't like the seats inside. They are too soft, that sitting gives one a feeling of sinking.

I'll just get the locally sourced from TMPI, Prado 4.9 V6 Dual VVT-i. This fits your budget of < Php 3M

Haha!

why not consider the Nissan Armada and as the others said, the Toyota Prado. Both of them look reaaaalllyyy good!

and what you said about the Mohave being small, it's bigger than the Fortuner, which in my opinion looks horrid.

If I were to get a Dubai or American unit, it would have to have a local counterpart for easy access to parts. If it were all Japanese, I'd get a Prado V6 for the power and offroad capability. Otherwise, I'd settle for the Veracruz which in truth is actually quite big but hides its bulk well. And I find it to resemble the Lexus RX. The power of that car will bring huge smiles to your face! Nothing beats diesel efficiency and power in V6 form!

nice ba ang kia mohave sa offroad?ang resale value nito is it good?Kasi kia eh, din hindi quality ang mga lumang kia like pride, avella and even sportage which is very prone to overheating and other noisyvibration/parts.Kasi when who speak toyota,mitsubishi,nissan..the name itself speaks.kasi brand ng car nagabigay din ng prestige eh.....

As for these questions, it would also help if you look up the reviews on these Korean vehicles both here and abroad. I've read one by C-Magazine and they liked the Mohave a lot save for the fact that it has a speed limiter at 190 (like most Kia cars) while the Veracruz doesn't (said to have been able to reach 240). The Mohave has traditional ladder frame suspension, so off road capability should be quite good, especially with so much torque.

Siguro super old stock na yun. Yung tipong late 2008 pa andun Color white pala.
