how about a future classic? yung mga 80's or 90's car na may potential na maging classic in 10 or 20 years (or even now). maganda siguro yung may cult following o kaya yung kokonti pa lang nakakalam.

On Top Gear these cars were voted to be "A Future Classic", the VW Corrado VR6 and Mercedes 190E 2.5 16 Cosworth.

    Top gears Classic wall

    VW Corrado VR6
    Mercedes 190E 2.5 16 Cosworth
    Lexus LS400
    Citroen XM
    Alfa Romeo GTV6
    BMW CSL
    Ferrari F355

If I already have other "modern" cars and have lots of money to burn, I would probably customize a classic car. Otherwise, no.

I'll go for the new car, and find myself a less expensive hobby.

    1. The body is weak as hell. A bike collision can dent most modern cars pretty badly.
    2. Realistically, no modern car (for that price range) can last more than 3 years.
    3. The luxury components (ex: A/C, seats) are VERY sub standard.
    4. McPherson suspension system sucks. It just saves the manufacturer costs and doesn't benefit the consumer in any way.
    5. The leg room even in the Ford Fiesta/ Ikon is very poor (for South Asian standards at least).
    6. Most modern cars can't take town/ village roads. The ride is just horrible.
I honestly feel that most "mid segment" cars are just over-marketed gimmicks rather than a comfort adding utility. Anyone else feel this way out there???
What's with the modern car hating? Could you even just cite one instance on which a brand new car is better than the old ones? Apparently, I also like old time contemporary throwbacks, but it should be with none of the old time drawbacks.

I will use my cash first to enroll again in math101, to get my decimals and commas straight. Before I start my dilemma on which car to choose so as when I post on car forums/talk board everybody would understand me so that people wont strain their eyes on what the !#*#$ they are seeing on their pc monitors

New cars depreciate the first few inches you drive out of the dealership. While classic cars even appreciate if you treat it well enough. classic cars is good for a 2nd or 3rd car option but if your buying a first or everyday car then go for a brand new one.

    If I had 5,000,000 pesos:

    3m on a Volvo S60T5 then
    1-2m on a '65 - '66 Shelby GT350 or both!

    If I had 500,000 pesos:

    1995 E34 body M50 engine 525i

Oooohhh what a diff 1 zero makes....
