Went out to see if I could see actual MT units today...
Tried the Honda City, Vios, Mirage, and Mazda2. I've got to say, the Mazda has a REALLY short shift O_o. Like it has a short shift kit installed. Feel wise it feels a lot like the Honda only the throws are almost half as long as the Honda. The Mirage also matched the Honda but had a slightly longer throw but weirdly the car in the showroom wouldn't slot into 4th or 5th gear even with the clutched in? All three felt notchy in their shift action, it felt like you could really do quick shifts in them. In the Mazda and the Mitsu you can feel the gears sliding into place, like sliding a dead-bolt with that metal against metal kind of feeling. The Vios on the other hand was much smoother, more relaxed in the gearshift, it felt like there was no friction when rowing through the gears, but lacked the precision of the other three somewhat. The Honda was both smooth and precise, balancing the qualities of both.

Price wise Toyota and Mitsu would only give a 10k discount on first asking. Honda would give 25k discout for the city, or GPS and reversing camera for the Jazz. The mazda dealership was different from the one I first inquired in, strangely they won't give any discount :/.
