    Fortuner 4x2 2.5AT or 4x4 3.0AT
Please help me choose. For me I choose 4x2 coz hindi naman us madalas mag off road siguro once a year lang pag pumunta ng Aurora, Zamboanga lugar ni misis. Sabi naman ni misis why not 4x4 na lang who knows daw baka mag off road us. most of the time city driving lang talaga.

For diesel: 4x4 CRDI SantaFe. Global model car, 5-star crash test rating, very fast but economical.

    For petrol: 4x4 V6 SantaFe or 4x4 V6 Outlander.

The 4x2 is adequate for city driving.

The 4x2 is more fuel efficient since it does not have the added weight of the 4x4 transfer case.

Get the 4x4 only if you plan to pass by slippery surfaces ie. maputik at madulas na daanan. Other than that, save money and go for the 4x2 instead.

Means to say ba na kayang kaya nyang dalhin ang six to seven passenger. How about going baguio kase meron ganong daan dito kung papunta kami ng Zamboanga galing davao atleast ones a year kami kung pumunta. Fortuner 4x2 2.5AT.... pa rin....

I find the 2.5 lacking in power, especially when overtaking.

It's more than adequate for city driving though.

The Santa Fe is a very good alternative, that is if you can get over the brand.

I have a friend who has a 2005 Fortuner 2.5 D-4D 4x2. Well according, it is quite underpowered going up in Baguio. I dont know for sure....I think its subjective. There must be a good reason why Toyota also allowed this same engine (2KD-FTV) to be used in a similarly passenger heavy payload vehicle like the Hi-Ace series (Commuter, Grandia GL, and Super Grandia).

pre, mas maayo mag 3.0L ka nlng d4d 4x4..considering sa mga dalan nato dri sa dabaw d man ta prehas sa manila nga cementado tanan..unya d pud ta ka cgrado nga d ka mo agi ug daot kalsada or maski mga danlog na kalsada..mas maayo man ang 4x4 fortuner k all wheel drive sya mas naay traction sa kalsada maski ulan unya medyo slippery surface..ayaw lang pg gmit og hi-lock kung g byahe k delikado sa mga paliko og curbada..considering 102hp lng ang d4d 2.5 pero pg abot sa mga subidaon knahanglan man pud nmo tmakan accelrator pra mg down shift so kusog lng ghapon consumo krudo..wer as 3.o d na nm o kailangan ipa downshift k kusgan nmna..unless e upgrade nmo ang engine sa 2.5 aron mo kusgan sya..

I find the 2.5L D4D undepowered for the Fortuner although it's application to the Innova is just about right.

As for me, the extra security of the Fort V's AWD system is worth the extra P200,000 premium plus as a bonus, you'll get the better 3.0L D4D engine.

What is your average yearly mileage? How long do you plan to keep your vehicle? These factors are important when I did the math on mine.

Again, why not the Everest sir? Its a more comfortable ride and its a capable off-road vehicle.

It's better to have the functionality when you need it.

    on the topic:

    Fortuner:

    4x4 V 3.0 D4D - 163hp, 340 nm of Torque - P 1,663,000.00, sure winner
    4x2 G 2.5 D4D - 102 hp, 260 nm of Torque - P 1,413,000.00, the least to me, Toyota should start doing something.

    consider:

    Everest:

    4x4 3.0 Duratorque - 154hp, 380 nm of Torque - P 1,580,000.00
    4x2 2.5 Duratorque - 141 hp, 330 nm of Torque - P 1,282,000.00

cheaper and they said better than the Fort for off-roading,
plus the better ride and comfort.

    if there's a 2.5 m/t 4X2 fortuner pwede na. lalo na kung pati 3.0 4X4.

Ika nga eh, most buy with their heart not with their brains.

Parang damit yan. People buy yung maganda and astig ang brand, kahit hindi comfortable.
