    Hi,

We are planning to buy either a ranger or a navara. So our budget is 1.5m. We want comfort, features and power and fuel consumption. We will be using it as a daily drive but will also use it to load stuff during the weekends.

    Thanks.

The Navara 4x4 has more power, but from what I'm seeing, the fuel economy of the 2.2 Ranger is better. (Have not had a chance to do eco-testing on the new 158 hp variant, though).

Load capacity, I think I'd give it to the Ranger, but you give up ride comfort to get that load capacity. The Navara has a much better ride. Only nit with driving it is the steering is very heavy.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

I see. Yeah navarra has the power. Ang mahal na kasi ng 4x4 na ranger eh. Mukang comfort lang talaga ang selling point ng navara for me. Do have info on the consumption of the 3.2l 4x4 ranger? Thanks

In traffic, they're about the same. In the 6-ish region.

The Ranger is relatively good on the highway. 18 km/l is possible with a super light foot, but typically, you won't get much better than 14-16 out of either at a normal 80-90 km/h cruise.

    for the 3.2 4x4 a/t

    at 100 kph a little over 13 km/l
at 120 kph that goes down to 12 km/l
    at 140 kph around 11 km/l

city stop and go traffic as little as 5-6 km/l
city normal no traffic 30-60 kph mababa pa din kasi ayaw nya mag-shift up kahit i-manual mode mo yan, same 5-6 km/l. pag maluwag sa edsa or commonwealth and you are going at mostly 50-60 kph then you get around 8 km/l. di kasi siya mag shift unless you hit 2000 rpm which is really bad for fuel economy. so kung concern mo yun mag manual tranny ka.

Ranger ka nalang.... build to haul stuff's pero hindi naman sobrang jarry ang ride...

Navarra, maganda suspension... but kung suspension habol mo... get a car or a suv nalang...

kung utilitarian ang need mo, Ranger ka... but if you wont load anything heavier than 250kgs... maganda din naman ang navarra... kaso nga lang kumakain ng oil... i find it to be a quality and reliability issue sa engine... i dont know kung ano ang sagot ng nissan dito na acceptable...

    Turbo gaskets. 2013 models.

Waiting to see if they've fixed this already for the new 3.2s.

Hoping ok na sa new gen para walang ka problema mamili ng pickup ranger agad.

*TS tignan mo din yung sevice ng casa, maganda yung may support para pag nagkaproblem unit either ranger or navara kunin mo di ka magkaproblem sa after service

Have you also considered the XT model sa Ranger. It's 4X4 but lesser options lang nga. Wala na yata ung turbo (hose/gasket) problems sa Ford. According sa casa the few units that encountered this problem were the late 2012 models.

So far, with my fellow Rangers.. Wala naman problemA Sa engine... Others pa NGa already reach 187k kms. With no problems encountered..

Mine at 50k kms. Cool down ko sa turbo actually less than 5secs. Lang..

Pero Maliban sa iilan na, IMO isolated case nagkaron ng turbo problems...as in turbo pinalitan.. Yung Iba minor issues like turbo hose... Sa ratio ng lumabas na ranger 35k Rangers as against sa less than 10 siguro na pinalitan ng turbo... IMO it's normal na may lumabas na may problema..
What's alarming for me is-- if the problem can cause a sudden burst of speed... And day in and day out, you can always hear sa news na may accidente-- or problem na nangyayari...

Leaning over sa navara. The 4x4 of the np300 is best bang for the buck as they say.
