With Isuzu just recently launched the new Isuzu D-max, I think this would be a very interesting topic to be discussed. Which would you choose in terms of reliabllity, performance, affordablity, maintenance cost and best bang for the buck pick-up that is being offered here in our country? I don't know if you would still include the Mitsubishi Strada and Nissan Navarra on your choices but it's up to you.

Personally for me, I'd pick the Ford Ranger Wildtrak 2.2 A/T. Why? Because of the 4 pick-ups i think this would be the more reliable in the long run, has good power and torque even if it's a 2.2 engine only. If I have the budget for 3.2 bakit hindi? pero sa akin ok nako dito.

    enjoy tsikoteers!

Kung sa area na may casa lahat mga yan, Ford ranger 3.2 imho. Pero overall sa Pinas, either Strada or Hilux. Depende na lang sa purpose. If matindi ang kargahan, hilux, if medium lang naman ang karga strada ako. Malaking bagay warranty eh.

mas ok po sa kargahan ang hilux compared to the other 3? our main purpose on why we're buying a pick-up is to haul more. kakargahan ng bigas from our farm sa bulacan papunta sa dito sa house namin sa manila pero occasionally lang naman. our field master can haul 4 to 5 sacks of rice ng walang problem pero ayaw na namin kargahan palagi kasi ayaw na namin malaspag ang we have no plans of selling it. our first choice is the ranger. pero im also trying to get inputs from you guys. dual purpose ang pag post ko ng topic na ito. haha.

If may casa nang ford dyan sa inyo, okay din naman ford, kunti lang kinalaki niya sa hilux eh. Mas mura (medyo ha, but not so much) maintenance nang toyota vs ford at mas madali parts outside the casa. Those are some things to consider.

its up to you bro, but in may own experience I have 2001 lynx and 2006 escape, i sold them both, proved to be headaches in terms of cost of ownership and maintenance due to parts availability.

Yung saken naman 2005 ford lynx, 2008 ranger wildtrak and 2010 everest. Bang for the buck if you're planning on keeping it for a long time kasi mababa resale value. Kaya lang binenta ko na sa pinsan ko yung lynx kasi nabaha and kinukumusta ko naman, angganda pa daw ng takbo.

Hindi pa kasi proven ang after sales service nang chevy pati na din performance nang colorado. Halos same lang with the proven hilux imho. So dun ka na sa safe bet. Kung Mas gusto ford, tapos pang-kargahan, I suggest get the 3.2 huwag yung 2.2 kasi stressed out makina eh, pero kung hindi naman ganun kabigat, puwede na din 2.2. Mahaba pila sa 3.2 eh.

hmm hindi naman palagi sir kakargahan. occasionally lang may van naman na kinakargahan talaga pag madami. yung 4 to 5 sacks pag bigla lang namin gusto mag-uwi. the van kasi is also used for other business. now i'm thinking about the hilux.. kaya lang ang hirap kasi ma resist ang ranger. hehe. lalo na with it's flood wading capability na 800cm since our area is flood prone. what's the stock hilux 3.0 4x4 wading capability nga pala sir?
