When you say alternatives, do you mean other cars competing with the EcoSport? Honda HR-V I guess is okay

The Nissan Juke and Chevrolet Trax are the nearest competitors of the Ford Ecosport. They are about the same size, engine displacement, and price. The Honda HRV is also categorized with such a class of vehicles but the HRV is a bit bigger already and it is already competing in price against the Mitsubishi ASX and Subaru XV.

Honda HR-V is closest to Mitsubishi ASX. Nissan Juke is longer than Ford Ecosport if you remove the rear spare tire.

    Mitsubishi ASX = 4295 x 1770 x 1625 mm
    Honda HR-V = 4294 x 1772 x 1605 mm
    Mazda CX-3 = 4275 x 1765 x 1550 mm
    Chevrolet Trax = 4245 x 1775 x 1670 mm
    Ford Ecosport* = 4245 x 1765 x 1665 mm
    Nissan Juke = 4135 x 1765 x 1565 mm
    Ford Ecosport** = 4011 x 1765 x 1665 mm

*4245 mm = Length with rear spare tire.
**4011 mm = Length without rear spare tire.

Mazda CX-3 does not have high ground clearance, about 155-160 mm only.

^^^ For the price of the Honda HRV, the Subaru XV will be a better option.

So Honda will offer a more lethargic engine for that big of a body? Honda's L15 engine will do for for the City/Jazz but putting it on a heavier platform maybe counterproductive.

I suggest you wait. Word on grapevine says that Mitsubishi is building an ecosport, inspired by its success in South East Aisa. Just like when they stayed in sidelines for 2 years sa Fortuner, snd then released the Montero at the same price point

Malamang they would stop the Asx. And concentrate on this. Smart diba? Unlike the Juke and others, ang fickle-minded pa

The 800++ Mini suv is the one's that taking in thr money, even challenging the vioses and city. Com up with one product like that and best 2 segments eh di success.

^^^Something like a bigger version of the Mirage but on stilts with the 1.6L engine of the current base Lancer. Then price it like the base Lancer and they might be able to achieve success like the Mirage.
