Hi guys! I'm hoping I can get some help here

I'm about to replace my altis with either a ford focus or the elantra. Not much feedback on the focus yet (or can't find them?) so i can't compare it with other cars at least from online info. The elantra, on the other hand, seems to be a current favorite, at least online, except for the HARI issues. I plan to keep this new car for at least 4 years, so maybe you can also comment on maintenance requirements and services of ford versus hyundai casas. Do you also have preferred dealerships?

I've ruled out the new civic: bit more expensive, and I was very uncomfortable with the interiors (1.8 E), though I know it's a good car.

    Many thanks!!!

Focus for me. Mas bago, mas sporty, mas bagay sa lalaki (just my opinion) mas may features

Also nakaka-turn off HARI. Sayang at ang gaganda pa naman hyundai units ngayon

    Focus:
    - So-so interior space, makes up for this with a large trunk
    - Steel rims w/ hubcap (!)
    - No parking sensors
    - No EBD
    - No fog lamps
    - Has steering wheel audio controls
    - 60/40 split-fold rear seats
    - Integrated head unit that has iPod connectivity
    - More expensive at 929k

    Elantra:
    - Much more spacious, largest interior room in class
    - Tiny 15" rims that look disproportionate
    - 1 airbag only
    - Has both ABS and EBD
    - No parking sensors
    - No fog lamps
    - Fixed rear seats
    - No steering wheel controls
    - 1-DIN head unit that looks out of place in the interior (still has iPod connectivity though)
    - Cheaper at 888k

My take is that if you're going for the Focus Ambiente, might as well spend an extra 30k and go for the Elantra 1.8 GLS instead.
This also means that between the Focus Ambiente and Elantra 1.6 GL, I'd go with the latter.

civic 1.8e = 1M. may 1.8s = 948k. between focus ambiente and honda 1.8s. yung honda pipiliin ko.
ambiente 1.6 has the same engine as fiesta 1.6 kung hindi ako nag kakamali. officemate ko may fiesta sports+. reklamo nya mas matipid pa CRV nya kesa sa fiesta nya. malamang pag yung engine ng fiesta na 1.6 nilagay mo sa focus na mas mabigat. mas lalo panget gas mileage mo. kung yan lang dalawang model pinagpipilian mo. mag elantra ka na lang

I agree, mapa 1.8gls or 1.6l, mas sulit ang elantra over ambiente ...

The Elantra seems to be more bang-for-the-bucks.

Yung TOTL models ng compacts ngayon humahabol na sa price ng mga lower-end mid-size cars. Will you spend 1.2-1.3M for a compact or spend 1.3-1.4M for a midsize car? Yung Suzuki Kizashi looks like a good deal at 1.288M or the low-end Sonata at less than 1.4M.
