the x-trail is a very good vehicle if you're a passenger. sarap sumakay dyan eh nun nag-trip ako last year sa south pero sa kebigan ko yun bago nya x-trail. siguro m asarap din i-drive yun kasi di naman siya pagod. ilan beaches and resort hopping din ginawa namen

and it's very spacious inside. ang ayaw ko lang sa kanya eh medyo mahaba ata compared sa current escape or crv. ayaw ko kasi ng mahaba eh

What the new Xtrail needs is a report on its FC. The CVT improves the FC of the new Xtrail but what we don't know is how much. I'm guessing it will improve at least by 1km/L in city driving. I don't know if the semi manual mode can also improve the FC. Anyone using paddle shifters here?

Masarap sumakay and i-drive yun Xtrail kaya pag nag drive ka ng ibang SUV ma fefeel mo agad yun difference. Hahanap hanapin mo yun feel ng Xtrail, wag lng yun FC hehe. But i didn't break in my engine yun binili ko sya last 2004 so i don't know kung malaki factor nun sa FC ko ngayon. At nabangga rin ng OBOB na driver ko before and nasira yun radiator and who knows kung ano pa nasira. Insured naman yun repairs but I don't know kung may factor rin yun.

wow! good buy ka sir. how about the suspension of the x-trail? d ba matagtag?

BTW, i used to own a nissan sentra and i just sold it kanina. Medyo napaso na ako sa Nissan given its very low re-sale value.

I can say na Xtrail has the softest ride in the market today so di sya matagtag. Better than CRV and Escape. Wala ako experience sa new Tucson but based sa friends ko medyo stiff raw. Malambot rin yun seats ng Xtrail compared to CRV so mas comfortable in long drives. Actually Xtrail in many ways is better than the new SUVs in the market today, yun FC lng nya talaga ang di competitive. But the new Xtrail CVT should address the FC problem pero wala pa kasi data available. Sa Australia, Forester XT and Xtrail ang rivals sa compact SUV, lamang lng Forester lagi in terms of reliability and durability. Pero 4x4 performance halos same lng sila.

Normal lng yata yun resale value na yun diba? Yun 2.0L mga 350-400k yata. Kung trade in 300k lng alam ko. Same goes with the 2004 Escape. Pero so far we don't plan on buying a new car anytime soon so my Xtrail will probably last 2 more years unless may opportunity. Baka abutin ko muna 100,000km bago ko palitan hehe.

But I don't think about resale value of cars since I don't change cars very often so it won't matter kung mababa resale value ng Nissan. What's important is reliable and durable yun car.

1.2M yata yun 250X dati diba? Yun 2.0L sure ako is P1.05M before. Halos same lng price ng Xtrail and Escape during that time. There is a 200X before but di ko alam yun price.

which one of the 3 choices ng TS would be the best bet at surviving a flood?
as they are priced just a bit higher than sedans we're also considering them para sa rainy season. konting buhos baha agad mga kalsada. and they say the rainy season would bring heavier rain than usual daw.

I think both X-tral and Escape have the advantage because they both have higher ground clearance (200 if I'm not mistaken).

    Tucson ang meron niyan sir.

If you're choosing between the Escape XLT & Tucson GLS, doon na ikaw sa Tucson GLS.. New, Fresh, more safe than the GL

Yes, but it's really worth waiting. Believe me.
    * SG: musta naman ang drive ng Tucson? okay ba? nakapila na rin kasi ako sa hyundai pasig and alabang for a GLS variant na Theta. sana by september okay na. as they say, good things come to those who wait. i just hope it's worth the wait...

Well it's fine sir. No issues at all. I was expecting some issues kasi feature packed Premium. Pero wala. So satisfied since day 1

Yung Tucson naman, kung base model lang, no thanks. Sorry GL Owners.
Hi Starex Gold! Whats wrong with the GL 2.0 CRDi variant pala? This is one of my choices sana. Out of my budget ang premium eh. :-( Thanks!

Any inputs on the new Kis 5 seater CRDi Sorento? Ok din ba to? How does this compare to the Tucson? Thank you thank you!

hindi directly comparable kasi yung isa subcompact suv yung isan naman e medium sized suv. i think gas variant na lang ang available sa 5-seater promo. better yet call different dealers just to be sure... also wala ka pala ma test drive na 5-seaters kasi di pa available. only 7 seaters ang available sa local market coz padating pa lang ang mga 5-seaters..
