Have you checked if the car has a mortgage on it? Maybe it's with an assume balance? A Civic es 04 would still be over 400k, check carefully before deciding on purchasing the unit.
At 200k an es will be a good choice, yet the normal range would be in 400k. Yes there will be a big chance that you would still assume the balance for it. No problem about it anyways if you can afford it as it would be ending this year somehow - just consider that the car is in A1 condition -. And if the owner is selling the es to you at that price ( which is impossible ) without any additional charges whatsoever and without paying the monthly as well........well, there is a big problem in it, seriously. I wouldnt mind taking the car in that year with that price. Its just like selling your ek for 90k
Well, this has been running in my mind since i`ve read your thread....at that 200k, is your car included in it. As in trade in? Like your EK + 200k = ES. Because if thats the case then the ES would be in the normal range.
ES has a better engine, better cabin, quieter inside, and takes on external pampabeauties more eagerly than your EK.
on long drives, you can't go wrong in an ES, too.
that said, the EK feels better balanced, has sharper handling, and has better suspension up front. it pulls hard for a compact, too.
i own both, and i'll say this to simplify na lang: long distance driving on flat roads = ES, sustained high speed driving in commonwealth avenue = EK.
given the choice, i would probably still upgrade. the EK is getting old in all respects: design, technology, safety... why, my wife's 99 corolla has more airbags than my 99 EK (which has zero).
