    Good day tsikoteers!

I'm not thinking of buying any of these 2. I just want to share my FC with this 2. When I'm on our Youth Center, our service car is a Revo GL 1.8 M/T and I noticed that it's an effing guzzler car. As in saksakan ng lakas uminom ng gas to the point that it has to be refueled every 3 days. Ang gamit lang niya is almost always around Tagaytay. Last week, I get to drive a Revo GSX 2.0 A/T for a week, same route. I noticed that it is not as guzzler as I expected it to be even though it's automatic. I'm thinking that it might be because of a better power-to-weight ratio since the 2.0L is more potent than the 1.8L tapos they carry the same weight naman.

Can someone affirm or negate this? I might also have a light foot over the gas pedal of the A/T.

Bro I have a revo glx AT 01 city driving is ok at 6-8kl/L...sa hi way umabot na ako ng 10-12pm/L. Of course depende sa load mo pero try to maintain sa rpm mo na 2500 or less mataas ang FC.

Kaso masarap tapakan ang accelerator Ng revo since under power sya gawk Ng body the more you press mas nauuhaw sya

Maraming makakatulong syo dito about Revo.

I read a top gear article stating that the stock revo ECU mixes a rich fuel-air ratio... leading to expedition-levels of gas guzzling.

better stay away from either of them. just go for the diesel.

    With fully tune-up 1.8 7K-E 5passenger
    City Driving 5-7km/L(AT) 8-9KM/L(MT)
    HIghway 8-10km/L(AT) 8-12km/L(MT)

    1RZ-E 2.0
    City Driving 5-6Km/L(AT) 7-8km/L(MT)
Highway 9-11km/L(AT)Base on my VX200(mobil 1 FS oil,Denso Iridium SP,35PSI tire Pressure, car in good condition)
    8-12km/L(MT)

The best you can do is avoid going above 2500RPM and maintain at least 60-80kph speed.

Both engines are very old and inefficient. Especially the 1.8L, how can such a small engine move such a big car? If you're really after a gasoline powered AUV, the Adventure is a much better choice. The venerable 4G63 is much better than the 1RZ-E, and being a 4G63, it has lots of tuning options too. Now, how does a turbocharged and intercooled Adventure sound like?

Kidding aside, the Revo diesel still is the better choice. The 2.4 liter engine is built like a tank, is a fuel miser and is much better on the inclines.

Sir, I own a 1.8 EFI MT, and one thing it has taught me is to keep a very very light foot on the gas.

I never bothered to measure the fc of it lately, kasi nakakafrustrate haha. I try to keep my 500php last for one week, ang route ko is cainta, eastwood araw araw, then megamall, ortigas during the weekends.

One good thing I loved about it is it never broke down on me after all these years, di pa ako tinirik or nagpalit ng major parts, except for the usual spark plugs

Baka you mean 1tr-fe. Plus drive by wire pa, madami conversion.

all toyota's now are fly by wire... i think.

I hope relevant pa itong post ko.

    I own a VX200 (1RZ-E) A/T. 4kpl ang FC ko.

Converted it to LPG 2 years ago. Still doing good. Baka option mo rin yan. P52/liter vs P29.50/liter.

Kung problema ang FC, LPG is a good alternative.

In Taiwan, the engine used in their Innova is the 2TR-FE.

mas madali nga sayo dahil innova ka, engine swap will be ok since (afaik) they use the same transmission sa fortuners

yep the best thing if your filthy rich is to buy a used innova in taiwan and have it ship here and straight swap..

    hehe..

That is, if there's an LPG refueling outlet in Tagaytay. So far, I have seen none. If both were mine, then, I have done that also.
