I have a Honda CR-V 1999 model and I'm thinking about swapping it with a civic vti B16a EG internal engine
B20 Racing Transmission, B20 Fuel pump, B20 injectors (pencil type), type R Piston B18c, Type R ECU (computer box)
EG cams (cam shaft), HKS adjustable cam gears, 4-2-1 Stainless headers, Scav, Simota air filter (carbon aluminum air intake), SIR Distributor, EF Transmission (fluid type)

    Is it worth it?

    para sakin.

    nope, not worth it.
i would rather keep a mantained 99 crv than a souped up vti,
kahit pa sabihin ng last owner na "pang porma lang", which totally hindi ako maniniwala.

kung pinalitan lang ng stock b16a engine as is, pwede pa,
pero modded to that extent, no thanks.

    nasayo parin yan sir,
    thats just me.

Thank you sir but which maintenance is more expensive? crv or vti with that kind of mod?

that, i have no idea sir.

but if your into racing, go ahead, atleast modded na yung nakuha mo,
    not sure sa price thou.

lets just wait for other tsikot members who are into modding and racing (which i'm not)
    for their views and comments.

For me don't swap, the CRV 99 is still worth keeping than swapping it with a heavily modified 15 year old SiR converted Vti.

Keep the CR-V. Spend extra cash on sprucing up our CR-V. The 1st gen model is still in demand.

Napapaisip nadin kasi ako, yung crv naaakyat ko kasi ng bundok and nadadaan ko sa matinding lubak and nalulusong ko sa baha

NOPE. imagine, 98 crv, almost 80k lang mileage nung nakuha ko, as in super fresh in and out. orig pa paint nya. and most importantly, in 2 years wala akong naging problema.

In terms of gas consumption, which engine gulps more gas? 2.0 b20 non-vtec engine or b16a engine with that kind of mods?

Malamang yung b16a kasi mas madalas ka mapapa-vtec...

Still thinking of buying the modded one,
    if kinuha mo na yan.

im pretty sure after a year or so, isa lang dito masasabi mo..

"dami gastos, sana hindi ko nalang kinuha"
    "deym baha, saan ako dadaan?!"
"hindi ko nalang sana pinakawalan yung crv"
"benta ko nalang, kuha nalang ako all stock"
"ano pa kaya ilalagay ko sa kotse ko.... ah, tilting plate!!!"

    haha.
    bata ka pa sabi mo,
talagang may "need for speed syndrome" ka pa.

if ang plano mo lang is maglaro, cge, go ahead,
    but
if ang plano mo ay car for keeps,
mas for keeps yung 1st gen crv.

Asus. Baka may ibang bumilis...... buhay mo.

Diyan ka nalang sa CRV mo sir. Mod mo nalang yan.

Sa EK takaw karera, at ikaw.. bilang bata.. papatulan mo. Syempre init ulo eh. Tapos malay mo kung saan pa humantong yan.
