December 27th, 2009 12:37 AM #1Corolla GLI 94 Limited for 100k, worth ba?
It's my bayaw's car. He's planning to retire it for an AUV, kaya he's willing to sell it for 100k na lang. 129k km mileage. Ok pa naman ang car, nababyahe pa ng malayo. Kelangan lang daw ireplace na yung timing belt at 140k km. Stock pa talaga yung oto, no mods (pati HU, di pa nga rin napalitan).
This is may second choice against sa isang nakita ko na Nissan ST 97 with redtop sr20de engine ( http://tsikot.yehey.com/forums/showthread.php?t=65614 ).
Any inputs?

Since mura lang siya dahil "presyong kamaganak", I think it's a good deal. While you're changing the timing belt have the oil seals changed, too.

Aandar ang kotse kahit luma shocks, the worst that could happen is that parang taxi ang ride ng sasakyan mo.
Basta unahin mo muna yung reliability ng makina. Pag nasira yan dahil sa timing belt issue chances are you are looking at an engine replacement.
Things to replace pagkabii ng lumang kotse:
Timing belt
Other drive belts (alternator, aircon/power steering belt)
Fuel filter
Air filter
Spark plug wires (depende sa condition)
Set of spark plugs
Change oil
Change brake fluid
Change power steering fluid
Tune up by mechanic (sabay mo na sa timing belt replacement)
It should only cost you a few thousand to do that pero mura mo naman nakuha yung sasakyan so nakatipid ka pa rin.

mura na yan at 100k, the usual selling price of that model is around 156-160k. nakatipid ka na dyan bro.... allocate ka na lang ng additional 20-30k for repairs, and the car will be in its best condition again. mura pa din.

take it; that is, if you're in the market for a car of that age with your budget. at least you know the condition of the car kesa kung sa iba ka bibili
