I go for the Honda ESi...

Both have just the same features, but the Lancer pizza has cupholders and rear windows open fully (ESi halfway only). As for driving experience, the ESi should be better, with a more lively engine and sportier suspension setup. But again, beware of rust in the ESi, especially on the roof and fenders.

Most people don't really care to find out. For them Honda or Toyota = impossible to break. Sadly, that really isn't true. (well, Toyotas are sometimes hard to break, but not impossible).

id get the Lancer though i dont like the Mitsu Matic.

ive driven both. i think the Lancer is as sporty as the Civic. ganda nga ng suspension ng Lancer eh especially sa twisties. mas compliant lang ang Civic sa bumps.

i think the 175K for the ESi is steep but that would depend on the condition of the car.

porma-wise i like the exterior of the Civic but tables are turned on the interior.
the lancer has provision for a 2DIN Stereo yung ESi, pang 1DIN lang talaga dash nya. i just dont like that early pizzas dont come with power antenna and rear defogger.
